My favorite Oscar host of all-time was the one who hosted in 1989.

They REALLY need to get Billy Crystal back again. It's been too long.

Steve Carell. He'd make a good host. Ricky Gervais, maybe Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson together. Or Ed Helms (with somebody more famous like Steve Carell). Ed Helms' only drawback is that he's not famous enough. Other than that he'd be great. Oh and I just thought, perhaps the guy who'd be best for it who's never done it... (he's never done it right?) ...Kevin Spacey. He's just such a cool guy.

I'll never watch an award show again... unless that delightful Billy Crystal is involved

@lisa23 the reason Chris Rock and David Letterman are not on here is because they have never hosted the show more than once, which is what this quiz is about

I noticed there were two people with a year of 1930, but there is no * next to it. Is that supposed to be like that??

@kbmaster: That's because there were two different Academy Awards in 1930.

I don't even care about prices for any movies. Rather for a good and entertaining show by the host.

Not a huge movie buff, but I am ashamed for forgetting David Niven and possibly the greatest line uttered ever (regarding a streaker): "The only laugh that man will ever get in his life is by stripping and showing off his shortcomings."

they let Richard Pryor host an Oscars? Live? I think Pryor is a riot, but someone was pretty brave to ok that decision!

After this year's song-and-dance number, it's obvious that Neil Patrick Harris deserves a chance to host.
