Some of those are way too obvious even if you're not a movie fan. Would have been good to include a few more obscure titles.

17/24. Some of the posters I guessed, like Full Metal Jacket. Good quiz. Can't wait for the third quiz. If there is one.

I assume I wasn't the only one that guessed "Born to Kill" was the answer to the helmet one lol. Sporcle isn't THAT easy I guess.

Some of these are way too small. The Rocky poster is almost unrecognizable.

I'm surprised The Howling was the least-guessed one -- ever since I saw it up close in the horror aisle at Blockbuster I thought it was one of the most striking movie covers around. I was sure it would be more memorable than "The Outlaw Josey Wales" at least (which I've never even heard of).

"The Outlaw Josey Wales" is a classic Clint Eastwood western. "The Howling" is a trashy B movie. Figure it out yourself.

One of the video game quizzes showed the screenshots bigger when you hovered the mouse over them. That would be a nice feature to include on the movie poster quizzes too.

@MovieDynamic: I'm not saying that The Howling was better, just that its poster was more memorable. The Eastwood poster looks like any number of old Western films.

Yeah, but when people see Eastwood's face they immediately know what it is. On the other hand, "The Howling" poster looks like any number of trashy horror movies/slasher flicks. Works both ways.

@moviedynamic: well, given that almost 90% of people don't recognize it, I don't think you can say they "immediately" know what it is. The Howling was a much, much more memorable poster (although I can't remember much about the movie at all), and while I'm not surprised it's the least guessed, I can at least understand that someone who was not familiar with westerns might put an Eastwood classic below that.

That being said, is it me, or is Swingers on a lot of different Sporcle quizzes? Great movie, just never thought of it as that well known.

@Moviedynamic and Fatbeard: The problem with the Eastwood poster, I think, isn't that people don't recognize Eastwood or aren't familiar with his older movies. It's that he was in a half-dozen westerns -- all classics -- and that poster could be from any one of them.

@MovieDynamic, fatbeard, et al: I immediately recognized Clint Eastwood, guessed "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly", and immediately became disgruntled and quit trying. Since Clint's been in half the movies ever made it's easy to overlook the actual one.

@Fatbeard & others: I think more people are getting The Howling than The Outlaw Josey Wales is because Sporclers tend to be young. Old fogeys like me have never even heard of The Howling but I knew Josey Wales as soon as I saw it. If I'd been wrong, I know at least a dozen more old Clint Eastwood movies I could have guessed. I know maybe 2 or 3 horror movie titles and none of them were right.

I've never heard of the Howling, but I did know the Outlaw Josey Wales. Still didn't get it though just because I kept trying to spell "Josey" as "Josie". I also missed public enemies because I kept thinking the title had Dilinger's name in it. Too expensive to go see new movies. I'll know most anything that's available on netflix. Good quiz. More please.

It'd be cool if you could scroll over the poster and see that image magnified a little. Would've gotten Sin City if I could've seen it a little more clearly.
