Great quiz. Love the geography quizzes. And since I only got 6 (and wouldn't have gotten more than a dozen even if I hadn't spaced out), I'm going to learn something from this one. Yay knowledge!

This was a lot harder than expected! Many of these ranges I have not heard of before. I've played some quizzes right when they've been released, but never have I seen so many answers at 0% guessed right, haha. Also, currently, 0% have gotten more than 17 answered correctly. Stats don't lie! This is a tough quiz.

Difficult! The world map probably distorts it - there's a bunch of ranges in Europe and Southwest Asia I could have named that weren't on there, and then who knows mountain ranges in the Russian Far East?

Wow, that was really tough. Never heard of those Siberian ones and a few others. Got it eventually, just by playing repeatedly and rote memorization. :P

I haven't even taken the quiz. I just need to comment how FANTASTIC the description on the front page is. Does Prince Humperdinck work for Sporcle?

@fatfifer: The Rockies aren't divided, the Cascades and Coast ranges are separate, west of the Rockies. I just took a Geography of US + Canada and Geography of Asia (not including Russia) class, so I got a whopping 14. Apparently, they were more important in US/Canada since Kunlun's the only non-Himalaya Asia one I remembered (but should have remembered the Ghats).

I got 4 and missed two really obvious ones. I thought those 6 would be the most guessed- but I was surprised. I'm actually really surprised how far down the Apennines are- in the UK we have the Pennines which is named after the Italian Apennines, so it's pretty easy to remember for British people are least. I guess it's a lot more obscure to the majority of North Americans taking the quiz though. Now I'm gonna go hide in shame for forgetting the Himalayas and the Andes >.

tough quiz, I kept trying sierra madre, but didn't know that there were two of them. Also tried Adirondacks and Ozarks and Black Hills, but I guess they are part of other ranges.

The layout of the world map confused me for a while. I was typing 'Andes' and wondered why it wouldn't show up. Then I realised I was looking at Africa.

I got about a dozen before looking. You can guess some by writing down the place name. Very hard quiz. Reveals the limitations of my knowledge of asian geography. Didn't know about the 2 madres It took another 8-10 tries to memorize them all.

And how about "Bismarck Range" for New Guinea? Granted, that isn't the whole thing but I think we need all the help we can get.
