	i think i remember the #8 used to be #1 in some polls, mostly because you take its engine out asap and put in in a #2, and profit that way. its hard to track it down. i swear, i know this because i read something online, not because i have hands-on experience. reallllly! (honestly, i couldnt ever picture a sporcler being able to steal a car... theyd be like, HEY that car is #3 on the most stolen vehicle list, which belongs to the #5 company on forbes 2008 list. then as they drive getaway, theyd be like, HEY this is the 13th most populous county in america!, and eventually end up dead due to the 5th most common reason of death. hmmmm... seems i should lay off sporcle for a bit.

	Fellow accord-driver here. It hasn't been stolen just yet, but since I bought it on September 11, 2001 (really!) it HAS been broken into at least six times in four different states, and dinged in the parking lot another three times that I know of.

	I am shocked there would be enough Acura Integra's on the road in 2008 to be the 8th most stolen car...maybe in 1995 but I don't buy the accuracy of that one...

	Acura "Integra" name was replaced by the "RSX" name in North America in 2002...In 2006, the RSX was discontinued, replaced by the TSX, which is a different car altogether, although of course somewhat similar. It would be cool if the list showed the number of thefts per model - maybe it isn't that many in the back end of the Top 10...

	I would like to see a most stolen by percentage of that model on the road. It is almost a given that some of these would be high on the list based on the numbers sold.

	@banutzu: Of course there's a logic to it. The most stolen cars have some things in common, namely that they're plentiful, they have a lot of parts that are useful for similar vehicles, and they're easy to steal. Car theft isn't a crime of passion.
