	I couldn't stop picturing those little silver pieces. Unfortunately, items such as "candlestick" and "lead pipe" kept appearing in my head too. I guess I need to reacquaint myself with Monopoly. Perhaps just "hat" for top hat as well.

	Weird. In all the (UK) sets I've seen, the tokens have been an ocean liner, a car, a boot/shoe, a top hat, an iron and a Scottie dog. The boot and the iron are kind of ironic (pun not my fault) but the rest are luxury items. Switching the ocean liner for a battleship seems really odd to me. Even the cannon could be an ornament to some crazy-rich person's mansion/castle but a battleship just seems completely out of place. I'm not doubting the accuracy of the list; just seems like an odd decision on the part of the maker.

	I do not think the title should say "Can you name the Monopoly Pieces (Traditional Board)?" That is misleading with the word "Traditional" being used. I know the newer versions and deluxe editions use the traditional board, but the traditional game only had the ten pieces (no train or money). Please correct me if I am wrong with any of this, but I know my Monopoly game has no train or bag of money.

	My parents bought their Monopoly game in Canada in the late 1960's. All of the pieces were little colored wooden shapes (similar to "Sorry" game pieces, but each piece shaped differently). The only way I knew any of the "real" pieces was from playing the game at friends' houses!

	K-Dub, I have never seen a game with the bag or train either, but I got the bag because I think I saw it in a computer game version. Never heard of the train though. Seems like a better choice than the thimble or cannon though since a train actually moves.

	Gah, I can't believe I forgot the iron! ANYWAY, great quiz- lots of memories of how much "Monopoly" sucks because, inevitably, someone ends up getting really pissed off.

	I've played with the sack of money, that's what I choose if the cannon is taken. The one I've never seen is the train.

	i have an old version of monopoly, there is definitely no train. I have seen the bag of money in newer games, but not in the old ones.

	I agree with Rackie - only six in my (UK) set. Surely, therefore, the six/six layout should have the "key"/(UK) pieces on the left, and the other interlopers on the right..? Currently I don't see any order, so that would seem sensible.

	ive never seen a train. i believe i remember when the money bag was added to the game, it was around 2000 or so. it wasnt an original piece.

	Not sure when it was added, but there is a note at the start of the game telling us which years the pieces are from...perhaps that is an indicator.

	I have an anniversary deluxe edition (I believe from the late 80s or early 90s), and it has all of the pieces listed above. Silly me, I forgot the iron!

	the traditional english version only has 6 pieces: hat, boot, ship, car, dog and iron

	ive seen the 6 the above poster mentioned, plus the thimble and wheelbarrow, but never heard of the other 4.

	As far as I know, the train, cannon, and battleship were all added in the Deluxe version of the game where the pieces were made golden. I'm not sure when the bag of money was added. I'm also not sure how I was able to guess them all.
