	A few of the biggest ones came off the board in the last few seasons. The Red Sox went 86 years before winning in '04 and the White Sox followed suit in '05 after going 87 years without a World Series.

	@Yankesgiatns89 - It's just the ten longest streaks. Neither the Rockies (16? years) or Rays (10 years) have even been around long enough to make the list.

	This is only the active droughts...a more interesting one would be the top 25 all-time droughts (including the Red Sox, White Sox, Phillies, Browns/Orioles, etc). Philadelphia is one of thirteen metro areas with teams in all four sports, and until last night had gone the longest of those cities without a championship. Now it's Minneapolis-St. Paul who haven't tasted victory since the Twins in 1991, followed closely by Washington (the Redskins in the Super Bowl of '92).

	Poor Texas teams. They need somebody to win it all. I almost missed some of the teams that moved like the senators to the rangers and the expos to the nationals. Great quiz. I think. I would sure like to see one of those teams off of there soon. GO RANGERS!

	Antithesys: The city of Cleveland, despite not having a hockey team tops them all...teams in the NFL, NBA, and MLB and they haven't won a title since the Browns won the NFL title in 1964. Far and away more seasons than the people of Minny or DC have dealt with.

	@Matt8204: Minor quibble, but the ChiSox hadn't won in 88 years. I wouldn't have said anything, but doing the math, if Chicago ended an 87-year drought in '05, their last WS win would have been in 1918... same as Boston!

	Making the NBA one is quite tough... so many teams moved from city to city... ill have you help me decide.. should it be all time for a franchise ie (the Kings have never won a title, but they did when they were the Rochester Royals who became the Kings later) or should it just be for current team names? Like the Sonics would have gone back to 79, but the Thunder would have nothing since they just moved this year... let me know what you think.. thanks

	Did the Rochester Royals win an NBA title, or a title in a precursor league? I think if you go by longest droughts, a la this quiz, you can cover yourself, since a team like the Royals/Kings would then show up anyway, even for the people who didn't know they'd won at all.

	Yeah they won the NBA title in 1951 but they have moved 4 times since becoming the Kings... but if I went with Sacramento by itself the drought wouldnt be as long...

	@Ben: Teams like the Sacramento Kings claim to have won a title, even though it was when they were known as the Royals. When a franchise moves, it takes its titles with it, so the thunder's streak would go back to '79.

	My Royals aren't on the list yet, but they would top everyone if there was a list for "Longest Postseason Drought in American Pro Sports". They haven't made a single postseason appearance since 1985 -- 25 years.

	It should have clarified that this refers to longest "current" drought, hence the absence of the Red Sox, White Sox, and Phillies. It's obvious once you start, but not from the description.

	well the problem is that cubs DO make the playoffs except they cant even win a pemnant why does that happen? I sure though they would do it in 08 :(
