	The one that blows my mind is Pedro Astacio. I know nobody likes pitching in Colorado, but can someone please stay there long enough so that Pedro Astacio isn't a franchise K leader anymore? I mean...Pedro Astacio?!

	@John: kevin appier was actually a very good pitcher for about 10 years, he just got no press since he was in KC. Vote thumbs up if you've never heard of Billy Pierce!!!!

	Deej, ironically I don't think Pierce was too dissimilar from Appier. Very good pitcher for a while, just shy of Hall of Fame quality, destined to be mostly forgotten.

	@deej: Yes, I remember but as a Mariners fan I remember him for his futile attempt to join the Mariners a couple years ago and fearing he would be called up to the majors. He was quite the pitcher at one point. You'd just think the Royals would have someone from their hey-day who had more Ks.

	@Yojimbo: Probably because it's still in their franchise history. The Nationals still have the Expos history and all the championships that go... er wait. Regardless, the team's records come from their history as a franchise not their history in the city. The Giants didn't get all new players when they moved to San Francisco.

	Here's a quiz idea. How about asking us to name the league leaders by year for the American and National leagues. You can go all the way back to 1901 and do every category—homers, RBI, batting, steals, wins, ERA, etc. Typing in Ryan in the AL strikeout leaders quiz would get you about 10 answers, but off the top of my head I can't remember who led the AL in K's last year. It would be fun. Then you can do football, basketball and hockey league leaders, too. It's a neverending assortment of quizzes.

	I blanked on Sheets. Thought he hadn't been around long enough....guessed Higuera, Slaton, Haas (good guesses) and Caldwell (bad) and Vukovich (terrible). Pete didn't strike out many guys, but he had a killer moustache.

	The quiz should have separate categories for both the Expos and Nationals. Or otherwise, indicate that the answer is combined for both franchises -- like this -- Expos/Nationals. I don't believe that the Nats have assumed the Expos records. It is a separate franchise.

	The Nationals and Expos are the same franchise just like the original Senators and Twins, the 2nd Senators and Rangers, and the Browns and Orioles.

	@Haunter: At least lately, this is because hardly any starting pitcher spends a full career on the Yankees anymore - it's usually a free-agent bag of guys who each last 5 or so years and then are traded or let go. Pettitte is the only exception I can remember.

	I strongly disagree with the comments above about Billy Pierce. He was one of the best pitchers of his era, his number is retired by the White Sox, and he pitched in a ton of all-star games, starting in 3. So first, he will not be forgotten so easily since his # is retired and his image is all over US Cellular Field; Second, don't compare him to Kevin Appier. It's embarrassing!

	Pedro Astacio no longer belongs on this list. As of July 27th, when I happened to play this and then subsequently check baseball-reference.com, Ubaldo Jimenez has 771 strikeouts for the Rockies, making him the club's all time leader.

	And to add to suddensam's update Ricky Nolasco passed Dontrelle Willis and James Shields passed Scott Kazmir this year as well.
