Iron Pigs & Mud Hens need to become Major League teams. Pronto.

The Iron Pigs are called the "Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs", but are located in Allentown, PA.

Lehigh Valley is not the town where the Iron Pigs play, its just a reference to the general area. They actually play in Allentown. Allentown should at least be an accepted answer if not THE answer since the question asks what city these teams play in.

I'm not good at this... I like how Springfield is accepted for the Topes though, go topes!

I agree. "Lehigh Valley" should be acceptable, but the question asks for cities, and Allentown is the city. Similarly, I was disappointed to see "Richmond" accepted for the Gwinnett Braves. They don't play in Richmond anymore! And Gwinnett itself is just the county -- the city they play in is Lawrenceville. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees play in Moosic.

Ditto the Allentown and Moosic comments. The quiz asks for the cities, they should be accepted.

Definitely Allentown - and IronPigs is one word, with the capital P.

@adamn: Similarly, Moosic isn't a city. It's four blocks and a Denny's. I spent 3 weeks there one night.

Austin should be accepted for the Astros' team. It's part of the same metropolitan area and you accept that for others.

Hmm, Wikipedia sez Moosic is a "borough." I'm not up on what the different forms of municipalities are in Pennsylvania.

Go Pigs! Also, as a lifelong Pennsylvanian who's commented on the city, township, borough issue on other Sporcle quizzes, I'll repeat myself by humbly suggesting that the term "municipality" be used to avoid any confusion or arguments. Or, maybe, "city/municipality".

So with a few seconds left, I typed Raleigh. Then I thought, "Well I'll try the sister city. Wait, if Raleigh doesn't than why would they?" Then as the clock hit zero, "duh!" In my defense, it was a single A town when they made the movie.

@nicoletteyx0, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats are the Double-A affiliate of the Blue Jays. This quiz is for the Triple-A affiliates.

25/30. I would have had Syracuse but I was thrown off since they changed their name from the Sky Chiefs to the Chiefs. Also whatever happened to Ottawa and Tuscon's teams?

I'm not totally positive on this but I'm pretty sure there is also a Staten Island Yankees. I'm just assuming they aren't Triple A, but it really threw me off.

TheBigD, the Ottawa Lynx left about two years ago. For some reason the support just fell off to the point they couldn't draw flies. It was kind of sad really. Tickets were fairly cheap and you could get a night (or day) out. Unfortunately, baseball is a slow game so a lot of the people I talked to told me their kids found it incredibly boring to go to a baseball game. All the kids I saw there were always having a great time.

We are on our 2nd team since the Lynx left. Ontario Intercounty League. The stadium was probably gone if they didn't go in there. Great ballpark too. Ottawa is a fickle city when it comes to sports and the Expos leaving Montreal killed what little interest there was in baseball. Cancelling the World Series crippled the interest. Add to that the fact that it was generally too cold to sit a watch games at night for about 30% of the games for a lot of casual fans.

I've been to two Gwinnett Braves games last year (their inaugural season) they were awful, but the stadium was beautiful and a nice place to sit and enjoy a ballgame (at least the other teams- Durham Bulls and Scranton/WB Yankees) were good. This year they are supposed to be much better. @matthewconte: yes there are the Staten Island Yankees, they are Class-A Short Season.

It's interesting that Richmond is still being accepted as a right answer. Only missed the Reno Aces because I still thought the Diamondbacks' AAA was in Tucson. Don't know when they moved.

I wouldn't take "Austin" for the Round Rock Express, as BSD987 suggested. The only teams where just naming the metro area is taken is when the metro area is what the team is called. Otherwise you could say "Raleigh" for the Durham Bulls, or "Atlanta" for the Gwinnett Braves.
