Cavic is the best of everyone else, lifting his head at the finish, and letting his coach file a protest that he lost. Indeed Cavic is the best.

The slightly annoying bit about this quiz is that you can put 'medley' for the relay answers, but it doesn't accept 'medley' for the solo races - you have to put 'individual medley'. I need a life :D

Answers like "400 IM" should be accepted for individual medley, and "400 free relay" for the 4x100 freestyle relay, since that's how swimmers refer to these events.

Also: "fly" and "free" are typical shorthand for butterfly and freestyle.

In the swimming world the "4 x 200 m freestyle relay" is said as 800 free realy and the 4 x 100 medley is the 400 medley relay. As a swimmer I missed the answers trying to guess what you used for the answers.

The British/Canadian spelling of "metre" should be accepted.

for the various medleys "IM" and "M" should be accepted, because that is swimmer-speak. I wasted time trying typing IM over and over. Also free and fly should be accepted. i wasted time typing that too!

should accept 400 IM, 200 IM, 400 free relay, 400 medley relay etc. I'm a swimmer and would have gotten a lot more if it hadn't been for the annoying wording requirements.

I agree completely with heydigital. What a terrible quiz not accepting 400 IM, 200 IM, 400 free relay, 400 medley relay, 800 free relay, and even shortening the stroke names, ie "free" for "freestyle" or "fly" for "butterfly." As a swimmer, this is an abomination.

agree. no swimmer would type "butterfly", we use fly back breast free and IM. as well, at least where i am from we use 800 free relay, 400 free relay, etc. not 4x200, 4x100... i knew all of these and yet couldn't get them because of this problem. (and @canadian... yes i tried that too! metre should be accepted)

Yeah, this former competitive swimmer agrees. I couldn't get the phrasing you wanted on the relays, but I knew them well enough.

I second all the objections to having to type out the whole name of medleys and stroke names. Also please accept front crawl.
