You should include the books he wrote under the pseudonym John Lange as bonuses.

I don't like to get sentimental on sporcle, but this guy died too young.

Definitely agree magister. R.I.P. Mike.

Michael Crichton was sort of a controversial figure. He had some very "interesting" views on things like global warming. I did enjoy his books though. Prey is one of my favorites.

you might consider adding thigns like "A Case of Need" that are sort of non-fiction novels
Apr 25th, 2009 at 22:58 GMT
Yes e.g. Binary as John Lange. RIP indeed.
May 30th, 2009 at 23:55 GMT
Also include his memoir: Travels.
Jul 23rd, 2009 at 07:21 GMT
Travels and A Case of Need were not novels, and thus should not be on the main list. Bonuses perhaps, but they're definitely not novels.

"'A Case of Need' the classic novel of suspense by Michael Crichton, writing as Jeffery Hudson." Straight of the book jacket. I think it counts.

Another bonus should be Five Patients. Again not a novel, but a novel-esqe book written by Crichton.

Can't believe I forgot Great Train Robbery - one of his most underrated books. What a great entertainer. RIP.

You should consider adding his just-published posthumous novel "Pirate Latitudes" to the quiz.

What about Binary?
Jun 15th, 2010 at 16:16 GMT
Died way too young, I always looked forward to his next piece of work :(
Aug 13th, 2010 at 03:21 GMT
A case of need is definitely a novel.
Apr 6th, 2011 at 09:33 GMT
Not only is A Case of Need definitely (and obviously) a novel, it's one of his better works, IMO.

Got 13 of them. I've forgotten how many great stories he has written. R.I.P. Michael Crichton.

You should accept 'The 13th Warrior' as an alternative answer to 'Eaters of the Dead' because that's the original title.
Mar 21st, 2013 at 11:21 GMT
By the way, originally, Crichton wrote under the name "John Lange" and wrote books such as: Binary, Zero Cool, Grave Descend, Drug of Choice, Scratch One, Easy Go, The Venom Business, and Odds On. Also, if you're going to include Micro (which he wrote with someone else)you should include Twister. Also, Westworld could be a bonus answer, as it was a book that he wrote and it was quickly discontinued.
