I take issue with montecarlo's use of the term "hoser". ;)

I put 'stag' and it gave me 'buck' and 'gander.' I might just be being ignorant, but I don't think I've ever hear of a goose being called a 'stag.' Nice quiz though (:

Awwh man, I was about to type the 'r' for the male pig when I thought 'no, that's a different thing.' I'm such an idiot (:

i wonder why opussums are called 'jack and jill'. maybe it's because their face looks like an ice cream cone

@jzev: I'm not sure if this is the reason, but opossums are marsupials, same as kangaroos. I guess it just transfers.

The best thing about this quiz is that "bitch" is an answer.

I never typed in the answer for male goat but it showed up -- did I get another term for it without noticing? (I would have gotten it anyway, but was surprised to see it already filled in)

shel99- When I typed in "buck", "billy" showed up automatically.

When I typed "dam" it gave me "mare" and "ewe." Those aren't interchangeable terms. "Dam" specifically refers to an animal's role as mother.

Filly should be an acceptable answer for female horse, as a female horse under a certain age (three, I believe) is not called a mare and the quiz does not specify age requirements.

why do some animals have only one sex on the list while others have both? I think they should all have both.

This quiz seems a bit disorganised... surely it would be better to have the animal, then male/female of both. I suggested this a while back but I preferred my options. I don't really understand this one...

The reason for some not having both animals on there is because we tried to limit it to one of that answer like doe and ewe have many animals that that is the female version of. Didn't want doe to come up for like 8 answers..

Growing up in farm country helped me with this one. Opossums were the only ones I missed and I should've known those - I've got a family of them living in my back yard.

In my book, a male turkey is called a tom. I typed that : and it came up as a gobbler! Perhaps the alternative terms should appear in brackets?
