ok so they added 4 charms since the lucky charms song was made. not cool.
Oct 23rd, 2008 at 18:37 GMT
That's what I was thinking! I totally have that song stuck in my head now and it isn't even correct :(
Nov 2nd, 2008 at 21:33 GMT
That's why it pays to do this with your eight year old daughter- she knows the new ones!
Nov 28th, 2008 at 14:11 GMT
I knew the ones from the song.
Jan 12th, 2009 at 13:37 GMT
Why is "Leprechaun Hats" not accepted but hats is? How bizarre not to accept the correct answer!!!!!
Feb 9th, 2009 at 19:02 GMT
seriously, it's all about the song...they need to do some more brand advertising if they really want us to know all of them!
Feb 9th, 2009 at 20:01 GMT
I pay too much attention to the commercials for my age, obviously, since I knew the red one and the last (newest) one, but forgot one of the original four.
Mar 1st, 2009 at 16:01 GMT
I'd never heard of the last (newest one), and one of the original shapes that wasn't in the jingle almost slipped my mind, but I got em all eventually.
Mar 16th, 2009 at 11:08 GMT
i was gonna complain about the newly added ones but I see you all have done it for me thx

What's a Lucky Charm? I only got 5, but reckon if you've never heard"the song" you're never going to do too well

@lapper220: the leprechaun on the commercial sings "hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers and bluemoons, pots of gold and rainbows and me red balloons!" i remember when i was a kid and the rainbows, pots of gold, shooting stars and leprechaun hats were added, but i was unaware of the diamonds and hourglass. i can understand the diamonds, but i dont think i understand why hourglasses were added.
Jun 16th, 2009 at 16:39 GMT
@lapper220 lucky crm are a type of 'ceareal' in america only problem is i live in england so dont get em exept wen they r sent over 2 us

I feel so old - I remember it being a big deal that they added the purple horseshoes. At this rate, I assume that Lucky Charms will eventually become nothing but marshmallows, as it should have been from the beginning. I only ever ate the marshmallows and tossed the nasty cereal bits anyway.
Aug 6th, 2009 at 16:24 GMT
I used to eat this all the time. I can't remember what the charms were when I was two, but I don't remember diamonds, hats, or stars. There were shooting stars, but....
Aug 11th, 2009 at 20:16 GMT
um,i dont eat lucky charms so getting two seems pretty good to me.....

To stay in the whole Irish/leprechaun/pot o' gold vein, shouldn't "shamrock" count for clover?
Sep 16th, 2009 at 18:38 GMT
@inara: I did it the opposite! I'd eat all the cereal bits and save all the marshmallows till last and then eat the marshmallows by least favourite shape to favourite! what a process!
Sep 23rd, 2009 at 17:04 GMT
Never had lucky charms or heard the song so more than happy with my 6 guesses :o) @ESK - I tried that ... I guess it could be because it's a 4 leaf clover that's lucky whereas a Shamrock should have 3 leaves (IIRC in terms of the Irish symbol they represent the Holy Trinity)
Sep 28th, 2009 at 02:44 GMT
I only knew the ones from the old commercial song! Hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, and bluemoons, pots of gold, and rainbow, and the red balloons (i also knew hourglass)
Sep 28th, 2009 at 04:33 GMT
Oh, how I wish I was eating lucky charms now..
Dec 8th, 2009 at 17:45 GMT
@Hannah - How horrifying that they don't make Lucky Charms in England unless they are sent over...isn't the leprechaun from the UK anywho?
Dec 15th, 2009 at 17:18 GMT
when did they make a diamond?!?!
Jan 10th, 2010 at 18:49 GMT
O.k. i thought i would do better than 3!
Jan 16th, 2010 at 00:45 GMT
Clovers and leprechaun hats are the same. Same with stars and shooting stars.
Jan 20th, 2010 at 18:26 GMT
So excited when I saw it until I had filled in the song and realized I has spaces to spare. Silly new charms.
Mar 17th, 2010 at 17:20 GMT
6 out of 12...not bad for a Brit! (we don't get lucky charms in the UK :( )
Mar 26th, 2010 at 22:16 GMT
last time I checked the clovers were the hats.
Jul 27th, 2010 at 20:01 GMT
There are no stars. Shooting stars...not stars. I had Lucky Charms 2 days ago. NO STARS. Plus, im 10. I am an expert in marshmellows.
Jul 30th, 2010 at 03:31 GMT
There used to be stars and used to be clovers. They changed to hats and shooting stars. Lucky charms eater for decades here.
Jul 30th, 2010 at 03:39 GMT
It's funny what you all are calling the "old" song; I remember when they added the balloons, horseshoes, pots of gold, etc. The blue diamonds (first addition to the original cereal) were added in 1975 and removed in 1994 along with the yellow moons. Blue moons replaced them in 1995.
Aug 1st, 2010 at 23:02 GMT
I thought the hour glass was for some special commercial thing they did... if so, why didn't you add the doors with the keyholes in them?
Aug 8th, 2010 at 23:08 GMT
Greatest. Cereal. EVER.
Aug 11th, 2010 at 21:27 GMT
All I ever remember are stars, moons, hearts, clovers, but, then again, it has been well over 30 years since I have eaten Lucky Charms, even if they are "magically delicious"
Sep 19th, 2010 at 01:30 GMT
should've at least included "doors" as a bonus because 2 or 3 years ago they had doors that whenyou poured milk on them they dissolved and turned to keys which was the only reason I bought lucky charms at the time that was awesome I'm pretty sure it was limitted edition though....

Karen, you must have spelled it wrong, it has to accept it if it's the answer, that's the only way to code it
