I'm liking this quiz. Maybe more quizzes about drinks would be appropriate. I know there's one more on the site, but we could always use another.

Weird that if you type "iced tea" you get #6 on the list

a real long island doesnt have tequila in it. If you add tequila it is called a Texas Tea.

A Texas Tea is a Long Island Iced Tea with whiskey (bourbon) in it. Sporcle has the recipe right.

No, shawnoc is right. They're my favorite drink and I've had them all over! This is the recipe.

Shawnoc is right. And I think that I might drink too much if the only thing I didn't get was sweet n' sour mix.

I guess if you ask me for a Long Island Iced Tea, you're getting vodka and a lemon.

Took me 15 seconds... I used to bartend at a college bar, and I can make a real LIIT faster than it took me to finish the quiz... heh :)

"Sweet and Sour" isn't accepted because "Sour Mix" isn't at all "sweet". It's never called that. "Sweet and sour" is fake Chinese food. ALSO... try adding a splash of orange juice, and a cap full of 151 rum for the PERFECT LI Tea :)

In Kenya we make it with vodka, gin, Kenya Cane (kind of a local rum) tequila, triple sec, lime juice and dash of coke. Tastes great

Worried at how quickly I managed to do this. :S Kinda easy when Long Island Iced Tea amongst my social circle is referred to as 'all those alcohols mixed together'.

I use 1.5 parts citrus vodka instead of regular vodka, and I cut the gin in half.

No bar tender should miss this. Also, in the original long island tequila was an ingredient and sour mix was absent. In modern accepted recipes sour mix is also splashed but only for a hint of flavor much like the cola which is only used for color. If either is more than a splash, it is not a real long island.
