Are there any plans to expand this game (or introduce another) to cover the entirety of the London Underground?

Thanks for taking me back to my student days in London. I think King's Cross should be enough to get that one right without adding St. Pancras though.

Is there any possibility of enlarging the map? I think it would be easier to work out which names were missing. Amzing how many I couldn't remember....

Cool quiz, if only I could travel as fast on the tube as quickly as I can remember the stations!

Being from the US this is tough but reading Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere has sure helped. Surprised King's Cross didn't work though.

@Catherine F: Um. There are more than 2,500 railway stations in Great Britain, plus 270 on the London Underground.

Shoreditch High Street will open before Blackfriars re-opens, so you should include either both or neither of those stations. (Shoreditch High Street isn't a Tube station, but it will be on the Tube map in zone 1.)

I did not get them all correct. Annoyed that I could not get the version they wanted for St. James's Park - very pickky - and I could not spell Goodge Street. speeling is my downfall

rum: "Great quiz, though think king's cross should suffice" I disagree. Historically, only three of the lines (Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria) were considered to be at King's Cross. The Circle and Metropolitan lines were considered to be at St Pancras. Either the full name of the modern station should be used (which makes perfect sense), or they should be considered to be two seperate stations.

I got 52/63 but then I do live in London. I disagree with St. James's - most people here don't use the additional 's' after the apostrophe... Whilst it is true that King's Cross St. Pancras is a combined station I don't know anyone who uses the full name but I didn't mind having to put it in!

For some reason, Edgware Road is counted twice - so only 62 stations in total

@Watcyn - There are two entirely separate stations called Edgware Road, located a short distance apart. Good quiz, but agree with the strictness over acceptance of St. James' and King's X, makes it very frustrating.

good quiz, but seriously outdated. also wouldn't allow st james' park, and st james's park is grammatically incorrect.

Is there any reason you chose not to require the 'street', 'park', 'road' parts of the names? I found I was consistently having to delete these words from the answer box

I think the game is right in its insistence of the full station name as printed on the London Underground map. So King's Cross St. Pancras should be correctly named in full. Whatever the correct spelling, St. James's Park is named as written by London Underground, so that's how it needs to be spelled for the point. What is strange though is that any station with road or street as its second word auto-fills when you type the first word in. This is really annoying as if you don't look at the screen you think the answer is still being typed and it's actually already on the map. You then continue typing your next station to find it's run on from the final word of the last one. Not good, or sensible and also not logical - Chancery Lane didn't auto fill. What is the logic/rule that fills street, but not lane...?

Great little quiz, maybe a line by line might satisfy those looking for more, and the same could be done for main line rail such as the Brighton line. St. James' Park is the correct spelling and even London Underground acknowledges this. If you go to the station you'll find that there are signs on the walls that are not all spelled the same !! I suggest it accept both versions. King's Cross St. Pancras is so named because there are subterranean passages serving both station from the underground ticket hall.
