These UK quizzes just show me how many names New England stole. "Sutton" added to the list.

There are quite a few other Suttons around the UK. It means "southern settlement".

There are only 32 London boroughs plus the City of London, which is a local authority "sui generis".

Surely needing to include the "Upon Thames" for Kingston and Richmond is a little unnecessary. I've spent a fair time in both boroughs, and they are never referred to as such in London.

So many boroughs. Easier if you have only 5 or 6, not 32!

Myself a London dweller, and only 7/33. But then, I forgot that Wimbledon (yay!) Raynes Park and Putney are all part of Merton.

I'm from Hull (north east England) and I got 5 :S. They should do a name all the English city quiz. Also, there's a sutton bourough in Hull.

15/33 not too bad, would have been 17 if it weren't for the "upon thames" bit in richmond and kingston

Pah. I put in Richmond, Dagenham, Barking, Fulham and Hammersmith and got nothing for them. That's a bit tight - especially for Richmond. Nevertheless I'm pretty happy with 16/33.

This should accept 'Kingston' rather than requiring the whole 'Kingston on Thames'.

< in the States trying to see if EPL club names fit. Should have gotten credit for Fulham and Chelsea, and I thought for sure that Tottenham was a borough.

Most of the boroughs listed are not actually part of London. For instance, the boroughs of Newham, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and Havering are part of the historic county of Essex. Anyone want to read about their histories would have a fruitless search in the Victoria County History of London; they would need to read volumes four to seven of the Victoria County History of Essex.

A bit too stringent on the names, a bit too generous with the time.

29 from a Newham resident who has just contributed a quiz based on which borough stations are in. Bromley, Haringey and Wandsworth I can almost forgive myself for but I really shouldn't have missed Lewisham. :/

27/33 for me. I live in Havering so naturally I blitzed east and central London and then started to struggle with some of the others. The problem is a lot of these boroughs were only created in the 1960's and given names that make little sense to the area - Havering being a case in point which should really be known as Romford as Havering-atte-bower is a small village on the periphery of London surrounded by countryside.

I don't know london well at all, but I missed quite a few guesses just for not realising they were 'something and something' and not two individual boroughs, sneaky!

Another yank that knows little of the rest of the world. I was smart enough to guess Kensington and Chelsea, I rightfully didn't get taht one as I thought they were the names of two different Boroughs.

I couldn't work out why kingston and richmond weren't being accepted, damn thames... but to be fair I've lived here my whole life and only heard richmond being referred to as 'richmond' or 'borough of richmond'... maybe think about accepting it without the upon thames?
