Think you might have the country misspelled for the Guinness Storehouse, there.

Nashville would be a hilarious bonus/alternate answer for the Parthenon

not sure that the Guinness Storehouse and the Partheon have the same historical background. there should be a quiz for older, historical monuments, and another one for newer one.

Got 'em all! Yay for guessing! Another good quiz would be frivolous landmarks, like the world's largest ball of twine, etc.

Monticello and the Jefferson Memorial are two completely different things - Monticello is his home in Charlottesville, VA, whereas the Memorial is in DC proper

I was swearing at my keyboard as "Blarney" an "Blarney Castle" failed to be accepted. But then again, Blarney is only a village outside the city that is shown as the answer! And the Guinness Storehouse was simply an educated guess (through experience of many pints of the product)

I'm surprised to see Mannaken Pis (small statue of a guy peeing) in a list of monuments. It's just a stupid fountain. :p

@Philipvdp: Manneken Pis should be on the list, people come from all over the world to see a fountain of a little peeing guy, how awesome is that? :D (no kidding, I don't think there's 1 single moment in a day when the little guy isn't surrounded by tourists :))

Technically, the Blarney stone is in Blarney, 8 km northwest of Cork (as listed on the Blarney Castle website). I think it should list Blarney or Co. Cork to be correct. (Of course, I'm from a very small town and obsessive about these kinds of things).

Ok, St Stephen's Tower is not the tower that contains Big Ben. St Stephen's Tower is a smaller one on the houses of parliament. The tower is simply "The Westminster Clock Tower".

Can't believe I missed Statue of Liberty and I've been there also Golden Pavilion and I've been to Kyoto :( I thought Blarney was in County Limerick but guessed Cork in the nick of time . Anybody asking for St Stephens Tower in London will never find Big Ben ;)? so I learnt something . Knew the Sphinx was in Egypt but could not remember Ghiza . That Guiness storehouse was difficult ? Who'a thought it was in Dublin . The only one I had no clue on was the Burj Al Arab ? Must find out what it is . Thanks you should be able to expand this quiz to another 50 or more e.g Eiffel Tower, Stonehenge , Alhambra , Yeehaw Junction etc etc ;)

@Jim: Only if you're counting the architect's much smaller bronze model in the Jardin du Luxembourg as `the original Statue of Liberty', which seems dubious to me. The 40ft version on the banks of the Seine was erected three years after the New York statue.

Jim is correct, the original Statue of Liberty is located in Paris. This should be corrected, either take out the word "original" or change the answer from NY to Paris.

I did pretty good. For the ones I missed, I was able to pinpoint the country just by the sound of name, but I didn't manage to get them. Where other than the USA would the 'Liberty' Bell be located?

Nah c'mon, two or three would be fine but now South America and Australia aren't represented at all, and Africa just barely.

Seeing as Nick is right, and it is the Westminster Clock Tower ("Big Ben" is actually the name of the bell that chimes on the hour), Westminster should be an acceptable answer.

@BigThing: Ok, so the statue of Christ the Redeemer for Rio. Others for South America and Africa? Anything for Australia other than the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, neither of which would be a good question?
