Might help to have pics of the characters, as this is pretty tough.

Wow, a cartoon show that is not available on DVD, that was broadcast for 2 seasons in the late 1970s. It's hard to think of a more trivial topic for a quiz.

OK, I'll be the first to say it: I have never heard of this before. I just had to Wikipedia it to see what the quiz was even about (though "Scooby" was a bit of a hint).

This was my favorite cartoon. And yet I only got 7 characters. I was surprised how few of them were famous for their other cartoons, but boy I used to love this onoe.

@ZapRow, Sporcle is full of "trivial" quizzes. That's what makes it trivia.

I had these comics! I hated the stupid Yogi team, the Scooby Doobies should've wiped the floor with them.

This was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid too. I always rooted for the Yogi Yahooeys. In a few episodes, they even had the Really Rottens win the competition. I guess they weren't afraid to alienate some kids by letting the bad guys win.

loved this cartoon as a kid and sucked at the quiz as an adult. i think this cartoon spawned battle of the network stars which then morphed into superstars (or something like that)

I've never heard of this show, but I managed to get 12 by randomly naming Hannah-Barbara characters. It's amazing how many of those godawful cartoons I remembered, unfortunately most of them weren't on the list :(

this reminded me of that Harvey Birdman episode where Grape Ape was accused of using the 'juice to cheat in the laff-a-lympics.

@ZapRowsdower: It was re-broadcast though much of the 80s. Anyone who grew up in that era ought to remember it. And heck, as it's mostly a "name Hanna Barbera characters" quiz, it shouldn't be that hard anyway.

It's rebroadcast sometimes really early in the morning on Cartoon Network's Boomerang in the UK. I've watched it a few times whilst drunk, only problem is I get way too involved. It's like watching the real olympics :D

Don't remember this ever getting to the UK in the late 70s/early 80s although Captain Caveman did. I got the obvious four and Barney/Fred. However, I couldn't spell Snagglepuss. I did see an episode recently and was sure Dastardly and Muttley were in it. It appears I was confused by Mumbly who looks pretty much identical to Muttley and the Dead Baron's similarity to Dastardly.

All those characters and vast majority were voiced by 3 people: Daws Butler, Frank Welker & Don Messick. Those guys are legends.

I got 40 right and most of the ones I missed were on the Really Rottens. I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed!

We had our fair share of this show in 80's and 90's. It seemed like Scooby Doobies always won those games and that pissed many off. Really Rottens fan base is big in here, just as Coyote, Sylvester and Tom (against Road Runner, Tweety bird and Jerry)

I always cheered for the Rottens. A lot of the characters I saw on that show I never recalled seeing anywhere else.

Magilla Gorilla wasn't on laff a lympics, it was Grape Ape. @rockgolf, although the three you metioned are vocie gods, they didn't do all the voices. Off the top of my head, Gary OWnes did Blue Falcon, Scatman Cruthers did Hong Kong Phooey, and of course Casey Casem as Shaggy
