| Caedus: Netanyahu is Prime Minister Designate. He has been chosen by the President of Israel, Shimon Peres, to form the next government. He has until April 3 to form a government. If he fails to do so, then Peres will ask Livni to attempt to form the government. Netanyahu does not actually become Prime Minister until he is able to pull a new government together, which is not a sure thing. Israeli politics is extremely fractured at the moment between right and left parties and between religious and secular parties, neither of which divisions necessarily go together. |
