I call it Derry, and was happy that it was taken here, but the "compromise" I was taught in school is that the city is called Derry and the county is called Londonderry. (Which, I am happy to report, is an unrecognized word in Firefox spell-check.) That's also how I typically see it in neutral scholarly work. Might that be the thinking here? Either way, thank you for accepting Derry. Maybe do the slash thing -- Derry/Londonderry? |
