I am so ashamed of how bad I did on this. First book read ever, and it still has it's own place in my heart.

You mean it has "ITS" own place in your heart. "It is" own place doesn't make a lick of sense.

i read this to my 8 month old baby at least once a week. she always acts interested, but in reality she just wants to nibble on the book. the pages sometimes stick together because there's so much drool.

I remember we did a whole unit on this in like elementary school it was kinda gay lol, but it was cool seeing the butterfly go through the different cycles over a few weeks. It really couldn't have flown away from us faster lmao.

@zalagreensbury: in no way is the word 'gay' synonymous with lame, boring stupid, or anything else you could have possibly meant by that. Just insensitive

@Zalagreensbury: i'm not being a suck up. I'm saying that you should stop using derogatory words and use that wonderful brain of yours to try to come up with a word like "dumb." Judging from how low your ratings are, I'd say I'm not the only one who doesn't appreciate stuff like that.

@fatbeard and zalagreensbury: I'm gay and I call things gay. Yeah, it can be insensitive in some circumstances, but sometimes that's really the only way to describe something. That said, I think there were other options to describe a cute little childrens' book.

@fatbeard: Words change their meaning all the time in modern use, for example, if I called something 'bad-ass' would you take it to mean the thing in question had a terrible bottom? Or it was a naughty donkey? Gay used to mean happy way before there was ever a homosexual meaning to it, and I don't think that using it to describe something as lame gives anyone an insight on Zalagreensbury's feelings towards homosexuals.

Please tell me we're not arguing over the purpose of reading AND whether or not a word refers to homosexuality on a quiz about what a caterpillar ate in a childrens book. Please.

...I found this site because of Textsfromlastnight.com when someone sent their friend a text that said "QUICK! I need all the foods the hungry caterpillar ate." and all the comments said "SPORCLE!" So I felt it would be a travesty to not take this quiz. :3
