| how can anyone say cal ripken is the most overrated player in history?
he was an outstanding player, over 3000 hits, 431 home runs, mostly as a shortstop. 2x gold glover, 2 MVPs, rookie of the year, 19 all-star teams, 8 silver sluggers. This doesn't begin to state the impact he had on the game outside of stats. He kept baseball alive in Baltimore during times when the team was dreadful, and inspired a generation of kids to play good, clean baseball. |
