Did you put Kevin Costner on here to show how his movies haven't made any money since the 90s.

Hard...for most of these people their best movies are nowhere near the top...I only got them all for Dicaprio and Will Smith...got 0 for Denzel and Nicole Kidman.

Damn, Robert DeNiro. For such a talented actor it's an absolute shame what his three highest grossing movies are. Get a clue, populous.

@MovieDynamic, don't blame the public, blame the economy. The only reason DeNiro's highest grossing films are from 2000 on is because the prices are higher than in the 70's and 80's, and that goes for all the people here. And I can't believe Bruce Almighty is already 6 years old, wow time flies.

Inflation adjusted grosses would be interesting too. The list for some of these actors would look a lot different if done that way since without the adjustment it skews towards almost all new movies. De Niro would certainly look a LOT different. Also - lame, lame, lame to include voice parts for some of the actors/actresses. I understand why it's done, but it's still lame. I was kicking myself for quite a while trying to figure what in the world Reese Witherspoon had been in this year that topped the Legally Blond movies.

@Jalapeno: Do you purposely try to get negative comments? Becaue if you do, then you do a superb job.

quite surprised 'remember the titans' isn't on here. also...any movie in which dicaprio's character dies is expected to be one of his higher grossing movies; however, also surprised that 'gangs of new york' wasn't on here as well

Great quiz. Maybe in the future we can get some with more actors/actresses and maybe even directors top 3?

This just goes to show that popular doesn't necessarily equate to quality. DeNiro is a prime example. {and not just for adjusted gross. Those are BAD movies [especially his highest grosser (one of the worst movies ever!!!)]}

Goodfellas is a much much better movie than any of DeNiro's highest grossing...sad.

A lot of great movies like Goodfellas and Taxi Driver didn't catch on to the public until after they were released on VHS For movies like that the DVD/VHS/Blu-Ray sales far eclipsed their theater totals which is more indicative of the movie's success.

Er, I don't see how that makes any sense, deej. Although admittedly I did only get one: "The Golden Compass." But declaring "cheating" is ridiculous.

I'd love to see some older actors in the future, and someone said directors, which would be really interesting. Either way, great concept and great quiz!

Robert De Niro, I believe, has been in four movies in AFI's Top 100, all of which deserved to be on the list (and extremely high on it at that): The Godfather Part II, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas. His three highest grossing movies were Meet the Fockers, Shark Tale, and Meet the Parents. I understand that inflation factors in, but still?

I got oceans eleven but didnt bother trying twelve, what an idiot! My favourite DeNiro movie is Sleepers, just for the scene where he's being told about the abuse. You see nothing but his face but the emotion in it is amazing.

This quiz is a bit distorted as it does not take inflation into consideration. I'm sure more people went to see De Niro's older films, but because ticket prices were less back then they "grossed" less. Every couple of years there is a new "biggest grossing film of all time" not because more people went to see it, but because of ticket prices. If you take inflation into account, the highest grossing film of all time is Gone With The Wind (1939).
