should not "Yao" be accepted? It is his family name, just like "Ichiro" is accepted.

Some of these guys are making a huge % of their income in endorsements. For example I doubt Durant made much more than about $2M in salary last year. I had no idea he had so many endorsements. Those will look silly when he never becomes close to a franchise player.

@mike, the quiz says 2008, so no, he does not need to be put on this list.

@Nuclear Knuckles - I think you're right about endorsements being a major income source. Number 1 on the list missed about half of 2008 through injury but with his endorsement deals his number 1 position was safe.

@Nimish - He's big in Formula 1 - the worldwide version of Nascar if you like, except much better. Not a round track for a start! He won the Driver's Championship in 2007. Personally, as a Brit living in the USA, I did pretty well - 29/30. Never heard of Ichiro Suzuki but to be fair, never watch baseball. Only got Rodriguez and Jeter as I'd heard their names before

Wow, tough one. Didn't get any of the F1 guys and the only soccer player I got was Beckham. Wasn't expecting to see Durant on the list already.

You know athletes are raking in the dough when you see how much Anthony is making and think to yourself 'Wow, chump change' compared to the others. I'd be happy just to make 10% of what Anthony makes.

I'm suprised that there are more basketball and American football players on here than baseball players because, of the big 4 sports, baseball players have the highest salary. I guess they just don't have the same name and facial recognition because one player can't carry a team so they don't get as much money from endoresments.

How the heck does Roethlisberger make more money than Brady (or Brees)? Not surprisingly I got almost all the American sports and missed all the soccer and F1, you crazy Europeans.

Kimi Raikkonen is an F1 racer. Those guys make lots of money. Michael Schumacher was once the highest paid athlete in the world not too long ago. Saw it on 60 Minutes.

rgreen13: A little more open mindedness goes a long way. Just because you don't know these answers, don't generalize that all Americans won't.
