I agree. The disclaimer about spoilers does not really cover a chronological listing of the answers.

Wow...congratulations to the 8.4% of people that managed to get more than 3 answers! I've never even heard of any of them apart from Thanksgiving (and I didn't know they had Thanksgiving in Canada so that was a fluke!)

I also agree that lakers22 should be banned from commenting

Two answers before I gave up. I wanted to know what the heck the answer for German was, because "Oktoberfest" wasn't working.... As far as lakers22 being banned, I'm indifferent, but that's because I never look at the user comments until I've gone through the quiz at least once.

I am annoyed by lakers22 as much as the next guy, but I think banning might be too far. To avoid spoilers, just don't read the comments before playing the game. Other than that, very good quiz.

China's should be in pinyin 'Zhongqiu Jie' (or at least accept it) since that is the official romanization of Chinese. And its literal English translation is "Mid-Autumn Festival" which was accepted for Vietnam, but not China. I was disappointed since that was the only one I actually knew besides US/Canada.

Well the distribution of answers is just about what I would expect. In retrospect, I may have heard of the Jewish and Ghana/Nigeria festivals, but I would never have remembered the names, even under hypnosis.

actually the nigerian one is called the new yam festival aka "iwaji" as it is translated in igbo, not the yam festival - the new bit important - the first part of the igbo word for it.

Shouldn't 'German' be 'Germany' seeing as all the others are countries/places not languages ... other than that cool quiz - I'll have to memorise these.
