I've always liked the name Grubbly-Plank when reading these books.

Some were just too hard to spell! Also kept typing in Finch and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong.

38/42, knew Delacour but couldn't spell it. Missed Grindelwald, Binns, and Grubbly-Plank. This is a normal complaint of mine, but I kind of wish they'd make you match the specific surnames to the first names. I got Flitwick, Sprout, and Quirrell just by guessing, not because I recognized the first names as theirs.

I like Harry Potter a lot, but it seems there are way too many quizzes on the slightest minutiae of the series as opposed to others.

Love all the alliteration. Not too much, but enough to notice. :) Was going to miss a couple, but then started guessing professors that hadn't been named yet.

27/42 I missed some of the easy ones just because I remember the last names better than the first names since that was how they were referred to more often(especially all of the professors).

Godric, Salazar , Helga and Rownena are not really character in the book; but it is nice to have 4 easy questions.

@oldman What do you mean they're not really character(sic) in the book? Where do you think these characters came from? Lord of the Rings?

Pettigrew - best clue ever! Check the hidden meanings to some of them, they're all good! Sirius - dog star... Lupin - werewolf... etc. etc.

I liked this quiz. Missed only two, Wilhelmina and Cuthbert. I should've remembered Wilhelmina, but I was really confused with Cuthbert. Ah well.

This was fun! Would suggest requiring an exact match between first & last names -- otherwise it's too easy to just guess last names without knowing which first names they match. By the way -- I love the HP quizzes AND understand why some are tired/bored/sick of them, but don't understand why they take the trouble to do the quiz and leave comments. A free online quiz can't be that much of an imposition, after all. :)

Damn it! When I saw Peter the name that popped into my head was "Crouch" and I told myself not to be so silly - guess I should have typed it after all and I would have got Barty. I would never have got the founders of the houses, I guess as in real life I skipped over the boring history bits!
