The answer for College Football HOF should be South Bend, IN. It currently says South Bend, ID which is Idaho.

The Bowling Hall of Fame actually shared a building/museum with the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and was right across the street from the old Busch Stadium. I've actually gone on a tour of it. Pretty neat place, believe it or not. They have a database where you can search for any person who has ever bowled a perfect game. However, the Bowling Hall of Fame is no longer open and will be moving to Arlington, TX in 2010. Alternate answer?

You guys should do a quiz on the Baseball HOF membership. It certainly couldn't be more difficult than he Popes or the Emperors of Rome.

@beatricekiddo- Yeah, it's in Preston due to Preston's role in the history of the game. It's adjacent to Preston North End's stadium, Deepdale. I spent an entire day there when I was in the UK this summer, very nice outing. Any fan of football/soccer should try to go sometime.

I kept thinking that as all the others are in the US, that the football [English] was referring to association football in the US rather than somewhere in England and kept trying Oneonta. As I only live 15 miles from Preston I was a bit embarrassed to see the answer, especially as I've been to the National Football Museum several teams, although admittedly the hall of fame bit is a couple of dozen photos on a wall that you pass going to the main collection.

There should be a quiz for Guiness records next, even though that's kind of unrelated to this quiz, I was just thinking about it.

@Jonah, It's in the Strong Museum of Play. I think they've been playing it up more lately, or at least since they did the expansion a few years ago

I got Football and rock and roll because I was born in ohio. I missed Aviation and I was born less then 10 minutes from the darn thing and been to the Museum at least 50 times.

@Jonah, Jack: Also, it was a (relatively) recent move to that location. It moved to the Strong Museum of Play in 2002, after outgrowing its original location in Salem, Oregon.

I, too, tried Canastota for boxing. And it's about time my current residence made a Sporcle quiz. Yay, Rochester! I live right across the street from Strong Museum.

@zebedee: Just so you know, Toronto, ON, the home of the Hockey Hall of Fame is in Canada, not the U.S. Admittedly, since the two-letter abbreviations for the provinces have become widespread, it is easy to mistake them for U.S. states in addresses.
