| @Debbie does nothing - I didn't say that she was that great an actress. I sort of agree with Bethannie - I think she's good at quirky, kooky, lightly comic but mediocre at more weighty stuff. Concerning accents, I agree that doing a good accent doesn't in itself make for good acting but a really bad one does equal bad acting because you cannot take the character seriously. Probably the most notoriously bad British accent by an American in a film is Dick Van Dyke's "cockney" in Mary Poppins. |
