How many of you had never even heard of Craig Wood but decided to see if Tiger Woods was one of the answers and Craig's name popped up? *raises hand*

If onlt "true" golf fans took the quiz, it would eliminate about half the quiz takers. I doubt Wood would have gotten 52.7% of the vote if his name wasn't Wood. But he must have been a pretty good (if not unlucky) golfer.

I only remembered Kenny Perry because it reminds me of Kenny Powers the best god damn pitcher the Bigs have ever seen.

Ah, Justin Leonard, the forgotten man in the Jean Van de Velde catastrophe.

I just hope that one day Greg Norman can finally win one.

Greg Norman DID win one (British Open). If Greg had won his playoffs he would have a career grandslam!

Actually, Greg Norman won 2 British Opens. His choke jobs at the Masters are legendary.

I knew Woods hasn't lost a major playoff but guessed him anyway - paid off! The rest I got by guessing mostly, although I remembered Leonard at the Open in '99, Monty's close calls and Perry's loss at the Masters this year. 9/13, not bad. Should have had Nelson.

Haha right there with you Metaphysicalman. I got Wood for all the wrong reasons too. I wonder if anyone types too fast and loses out!

To add to the choking Norman discussion: In 1986, he had at least a share of the 54-hole lead in all four majors, which has to be the coolest stat ever. It's too bad he lost so many majors, because it overshadows how good he actually was year in and year out.

THE Open, gentlemen. There's no such tournament as the "British Open".
