Even as repeated watcher of the films, I was momentarily thrown by the second "Vito Corleone." Maybe specify it as "young Vito Corleone" or something?

Why is Michael V. Gazzo a bonus? He was a prominent character in the second film and was Oscar nominated for his performance.

If anyone has the right to kvetch about being a bonus rather than a main answer, it's John Cazale.

My dad would kill me if I didn't get at least half right, he's one of those 'Godfather' freaks, like he knows all the quotes and does that chin brush thing when doing his Brando impression.

Fredo is arguably a much more important character than many of these characters, especially Hamilton who was only in the forgettable Godfather Part III.

no Johnny Fontaine or Johnny Ola...hmmm. and Grace Hamilton getting billing over Fredo...weak quiz...could have been better

i love the idea, but i agree with others that the selection for bonuses is rather suspect. Still though, i like the tribute to a great franchise.

I know four or five people have said it already, but John Cazale as Fredo Corleone should not be just a bonus. The guy acted in five films before he died and all five were nominated for Best Picture.

Let the records forever state that Abe Vigoda was once a prominent character in the greatest film ever made. Now he's just "that old guy."

Sofia Coppola should be a full answer. Not only did she play a prominent role in Three, she was in all three movies (the baptized baby in the first one, a child on the boat with Vito in the second, and Mary in Three) and she's the only person to garner the series a Razzie. I'd also list Al Lettieri (Sollozzo) as a bonus. And I must actually defend having Bridget Fonda as a clue; there are bound to be people taking this quiz who have indefensibly never seen these movies and will merely be guessing the huge stars they know of, and Fonda could easily be one (even if it's an act of desperation and people were gunning for Jane, Henry, or Peter).

Part III is massively underrated. Its not a bad film, it just is unlucky that its preceeded by two absolute all time classics...

Fun fact, the quote under the quiz title is from Godfather III, which is funny since people say they don't like that movie yet it is easily one of the 5 most quoted lines from the series.

Personally i think The Godfather is the most over rated, boring film of all time. I can't even bring myself to waste another 2 and a half hours watching number 2.

@GeordieGuitarist: If you want to waste 2.5 hours, go to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. That really is #2, if ya catch my drift.

The entire Godfather franchise has started more careers, sequels, relationships, actor typecasting, ethnic typecasting, nostalgia, parodies, and has the longest cinematic influence among generations of movie watchers of any film. Come on and give the movie its due credit.

Lee Strasberg is actually one of the most influential acting teachers of all time, aside from being awesome as Hyman Roth.

@rockgolf: Given the use of the word "boring" to describe "The Godfather", it seems that the second Transformers would be right up his alley. Screw Francis Ford Coppola and his masterful storytelling and emotional placesetting--why have that when you can have Michael Bay's explosions?

@JohnJF: I'm not a fan of modern action movies either. Transformers doesn't appeal to me, so i have not seen it. Some of my favourite films have been described as boring by others. Sofia Coppola's 'Lost in Translation' and Michel Gondry's 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' are my two favourite films.
