I like these cities of European countries quizzes, it's an interesting mix of most populous cities you know from other quizzes and famous, historical ones that are less populous. Keep 'em coming, Sporcle!

I'm glad Sporcle took the initiative to credit the Bundesliga as a source of correct answers before every other person (including me) did.

Great, another quiz of mine published. Hey, I have a bunch of city-country quizzes like these in the queue for the largest countries (not just Europe), and I'm wondering if I should do mid-sized countries once the larger ones get published. Vote me up if you agree. But I know I won't do every single, country of course.

This quiz succeeds in making me think how many of these I should have known from Civilization. Other than that, nice quiz!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I absolutely LOVE these quizzes. How about one for, say, Russia?

This quiz is too Germancentric. I, an ignorant American, have a problem with this one quiz not being entirely related to my own country and nobody else's.

@juusosieni: I too am waiting for some Finland quizzes. Bundesliga is only a bit of help in this one. Hoffenheim is incredibly small town compared to TSG's stadium... hehe

@Nikodemus: Hoffenheim isn't even a town, it's a small village with less than 4000 inhabitants. It's in the Bundesliga because some rich guy started investing into it largely.

9...10...11 is about the best I can do. I think we can all agree that the Bundeslinga is a great source of answers here - just as Sporcle is a great source of quizzes! I can't wait for more!

Brilliant quiz. Can't believe it's finally here. Like I said about the Spanish Cities quiz, this is the kind of quiz Sporcle is great because of.

Despite what commentators in England tell you. The German league is the most exciting in the world. With 5 games to go last season, there was 6 teams with a realistic chance of winning the title. That doesn't include Hoffenheim who were at the top for a large part of the season. Plus tickets are FAR cheaper in Germany. Gutted i missed Bielefeld, considering i've been to their stadium.

Hard to believe that even half of one percent didn't get Berlin, and almost as hard that 8% didn't get Munich.

ZSP, Not that hard to believe, some people get interrupted, lose the internet connection, or just don't care to finish.

Thanks for allowing the German spelling....but please, where there is an umlaut allow us to use the vowel followed by an 'e'. It is an accepted variant of the umlaut, and it is more correct than using an unmodified vowel.(yes, I know I'm a pedant...but it's my first language, I tend to be a little precious about it!)

just a tiny little detail: you should move the location for #20 a little bit to the east because it is located in baden-württemberg and not in rhineland-palatinate (although it _is_ right at the border).

@juusosieni: Regarding Australia, the quiz on Most Populous Oceania Metro Areas has the 16 biggest metro areas in Australia. It also has the six biggest in New Zealand, the two biggest in Papua new Guinea, and the biggest in Fiji.

The bundesliga (and the bundesliga clue from sporcle) was the only thing that saved this quiz for me. BTW, does that mean Leverkusen and Schalke aren't cities or aren't large enough? I also got Hamburg and Frankfurt, because yesterday was Labor Day and I had plenty of their exports.

@shawnoc: Schalke is not a city - the city is Gelsenkirchen, which isn't large enough (but not all that far off). Leverkusen is a city, but quite a bit smaller.

It should give credit for Duesseldorf, given that that's a legitimate spelling for those without umlauts on the keyboard.
