Good job with putting his alter ego as a bonus answer.

It's weird that, in this globalized age, the best selling solo artist in US history is somebody that I (and, I would guess, most people in the UK) have never heard of.

@davidr: Really? Well, we can't account for the accessibility (or lack thereof) of every artist. Country music tends to be more localized, anyway.

Garth Brooks is pretty exculsively American, I'd imagine.

What about Double Live. It's one of the best selling albums of all time.

to Kyle: this quiz was studio albums only. To Davidr: I can't speak for the UK but on his live album two or three of his songs were recorded at a sold out show in Dublin. The people even know his music well enough that Garth stops singing and let's the crowd finish off the song "Unanaswered Prayers".

I can't stand Garth Brooks, but as a southerner, he's outrageously popular down here. Especially 10 years ago.

I can't believe that the only one I missed was No Fences! I could visualize the album cover and name every song on it, but could not think of the name to save my life. No Fences was always my favorite album of his, I am ashamed. (I even got the bonus!)

Have to agree with DavidR that Mr Brooks is a fairly unknown entity in the UK IME - doesn't stop me from loving his music!! @kwelly - the quiz asks for Studio albums, the Double Live is, well, live ...

Perhaps you could except "Roping the Wind" for "Ropin' the Wind"
