The two games by Winning Moves should probably be listed together...

Additionally (and sorry for the double post, but I only noticed this after the first one), D&D was not originally published by Wizards of the Coast, but by TSR, who have since been bought out by WotC.

No Pictionary, LIFE, and Candyland? (while extremely simple still a game everyone plays)

I know they are kids games, but what about Candyland, Chutes & ladders, and Operation? Who hasn't owned or played those those games? And then there is Life and Pictionary. There's probably one guy who votes, and he just picks the games he's good at. Nice quiz, but the list sucks.

@Eamus C.: Agreed, though I'd cite chess, checkers/draughts and almost any game played with a standard deck of cards before any of the ones you mention.

I can't believe I missed Mille Bornes, my dad would kill me. It's the second most popular game in France, my dad would like you to know, even though he is in no way French.

well admittedly i'm only gonna list a few that are above, though in addition to hungry hippoes, Mouse trap and Operation, what about the Game of Life? Everyday's payday, how can you not love that?!

MLR - Thanks for suggesting that change. The only reason I even thought of the TSR game is because I recognized the company name from '80s comic book ads.

WHY ARE ALL THE ANSWERS IN CAPS? Please stop yelling at me. @Havok3595: You might be confusing it with Settlers of Canaan -- on of the expansion/variations of Settlers of Catan.

While I loved Life as a kid, I went back and played it recently and realized there is very little strategy to it...No matter what you do, you end up in the same place and good and crappy things happen to you. That probably makes it a realistic picture of actual life, though I'm sure it makes a great game...

Great, great idea for a quiz. Tough, though- I only got 12, and of the half I missed, I've never heard of five or six.

The weirdest thing, I was actually thinking about just the quiz this morning. If I could make a couple suggestions. Twister is not really a board game, but here are a few that are: Life, Payday, Chute & Ladders, Trouble, Dark Tower, and Scatagories. I'm sure many more could be pulled from this list, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_board_games.

Well, guys, these are games in the games Hall of Fame...not just crappy kids games everyone may have played in their life. Life, Chutes and Ladders, Scattegories, and pretty much everything else that people have mentioned in the comments have no place in a games HOF.

@Dave432: It isn't a quiz of just board games, even though most of them are. D&D and Magic definitely aren't. Taboo and Yahtzee I wouldn't really think of as board games, even if they technically have a board with them (I'm not sure if they do or not).

this is one of those games where you pull out your hair over the ones you missed. I forgot Stratego, Trivial Pursuit AND Taboo! And I didn't even think Mille Bornes would be on here. Axis and Allies, though, woo!

Come on GAMES Hall of Fame. Tribond is a terrible game. It's half bad puns, and half impossible-to-know trivia. Then again, I think Ker-Plunk is awesome, so this might be a push.

Yay my suggestion made it! As for people suggesting the list should be changed, it's a Hall of Fame. You can't just decide what you want in and out of it. If you have a problem with it, then contact GAMES Magazine.

Awesome quiz!! I knew most of them, I just didn't know who made them. When you're a kid all you know is that you're kicking your older brother's butt at monopoly =D
