If part-time lead singer Nancy Wilson is listed for Heart, Christine McVie should also be counted for Fleetwood Mac.

One of those entertainment quizzes where I either knew the answer or had no chance. Might have gotten Chaka Khan if I thought about it longer. Thanks!

I'm no expert but shouldn't it also take Deborah Harry for Debbie Harry? Surely Debbie isn't her real name.

I agree with the above notion

@Lepi: In this case, you're right Deborah is her real name. However, plenty of Debbies were never Deborahs (my wife being one).

Darn you Sporcle gods, I made the exact same game like eight months ago! (http://www.sporcle.com/create/test/f732d)
Having front-page quizzes is like a drug, man. And I'm in a huge withdrawal right now.

I found it to be an easy quiz, but the Stone Poneys and Portishead served as nasty little curve balls. And I liked it that you could type the first name of the Sugarcubes lead singer, because I don't think I could type the last name off the top of my head if you held a gun to my head.

@Lepi and RLthehammer: As per virtually EVERY Sporcle quiz, surname ONLY required, so don't enter Debbie or Deborah, just enter Harry!

THANK YOU for putting Cass Elliot and not Mama Cass, she hated that, and I loved her. It's a good mix, Stone Poneys wasn't a curve ball for me, it was a fast ball straight down the middle, it's when I first heard La Ronstadt. I vote for a sequel, there are plenty great women from which to choose, DOOD! :)

Susanna Hoffs wasn't really the lead singer of the Bangles, they were all given equal credit as singers.

I didn't try them but were Signe Toly Anderson and Jane Wiedlin accepted for Jefferson Airplane and the Go-Gos, respectively? Anderson preceded Grace Slick as female lead singer, appearing on the group's debut album while Wiedlin shared vocal duties on the group's first single, "Our Lips Are Sealed.

@JohnJF: McVie IS accepted for Fleetwood Mac (though only Stevie shows up as the "official" answer). Nicks was the more visual female lead (very easy to do when you're not limited to standing behind a keyboard as Christine was on most of the group's tours). It's rather interesting that, of the group's US Top 40 hits, Christine, Stevie and Lindsay largely shared the hits but Christine was actually the lead voice on nearly half the group's 18 chart singles.

Wow, I'm surprised so few people get Portishead. Dummy was one of the best albums of the 90s in my opinion.

Yes, we know that not every band with a female vocalist is on the quiz. It simply leaves room for a sequel and keeps the individual quiz size manageable.
