	I believe 80 is Quatre-Vingts, it needs the 'S'. When forming compound numbers (eg. 81, 82, 83, etc) it drops the 'S', but it retains it for 80.

	Spelling these numbers was much harder than remembering how they sound. I went back and forth between 'c' and 'q', tried combinations of 'a', 'e' and 'i'...

	Ms Trois told her cat not to go ice skating on the pond. He desided to do it anyway. He went to the middle of the pond, the ice cracked, un deux trois quatre cinq. That's how my 6th grade teacher taught me how to remember the first 5. Unfortunately it doesn't help with spelling.

	okay, why does it accept septante for 70? I was just playing around because I couldn't remember. Do some French-speaking countries use that instead?

	I memorized quatre-vingt-dix for nothing? I actually had to do both math and french and there was an easy way out? Rip-off. I fail, BTW. I couldn't remember how to spell six in french.

	....and while I've got my anorak on. In Tennis "Love" (meaning nothing/nil/zero etc..) comes from the French "L'Oeuf" meaning "the egg" to represent the shape of "0". Sorry, I'm off to spot some trains :-)

	@mungar, Yes I believe you are right, that 80 is quatre-vingts. That's how I learnt it anyhow.

	I'm glad to see it accepts septante, huitante and nonante, which are used in Switzerland! Also, although mungar got voted down for it, s/he was absolutely right: the cardinal numeral quatre-vingts has an 's' at the end.

	Indeed, it should be Quatre-vingts and Quatre-vingts-dix, since the original intent was that 80 would be 4 times 20, so Quatre Vingts (four twenties), a plural twenty indicating multiple twenties.

	There are two sides to that arguemet, drhaase. There are plenty of Americans who complain about non-US quizzes with no intention of satirising European users. In fact, it's reached the stage where there are more American complaining about non-US quizzes than there are Europeans about US-based quizzes.

	We don't compalin about the American Quizes such as Top NBA Scorers or US President's middel names you konw what you are getting just as if it was a French Quiz. What we complain about is when a quiz about universal things ( e.g. logos or "Candy") all come from the US and us "foreigners" have to translate.

	I got them all in the end but it was harder than I thought it would be! I had forgotten that 13 to 16 aren't just "ten-three" etc like in German. Also would have forgotten soixante and soixante-dix if it hadn't given me the latter for typing "septante" (Didn't know that about Belgium/Switzerland!)
