Yay 10/10! Though is it just me, or does the pink look more like lilac? That had me stumped for a bit.

Looks like pink to me. I was surprised at how many of these I actually knew, for someone who hasn't studied French. Lots of them slip into various "English" terms.

The English column is hilarious. I didn't realize the physical colors themselves change with different languages. Interesting.

Haha why underneath "English" does it show the colors? That's funny. I got 8/10 which is pretty good considering I've never taken a French class, never been to France, never had anyone tell me what the colors were. The only ones I didn't get were green and yellow.

The "English" column should be labeled as "Color" or not have a label at all.

@Hugh Moan: No, violet is a pure color of the spectrum, and purple is a mix of red and blue. That's why it's "ultraviolet", and not "ultrapurple".

I got all of them right except for Purple, which is crap because Violet's more towards blue than purple. 'Mauve' should've been the answer.

I agree w/Kyle: colors, days, months are easy. Putting together understandable sentences that won't cause an upturned french nose is another thing :)

Maybe do a grid where the colours are shown down the left with languages across the top. So you could do French, German, Spanish, Italian etc. P.S. Note the spelling of "colour"

Some colors' names are simmilar to their names in portuguese, like Blanc and Branco, Vert and Verde, Violet and Violeta, Rose and Rosa. And some are very simmilar to the english one, like Bleu and Blue. And there is also Gris for gray, like in spanish. 8D

In quebec, we don't use a lot the word ''violet''. Insteat we're using the word ''mauve''.

I don't know about France, but here in Quebec, as someone else above mentioned, 'mauve' is used, not 'violet'...

Maybe you should put in the title that it's the names in French from France, to avoid confusion for the Quebecois and others like them.

notaratface-> We use mauve in French too but it's not the same color as violet, the same as in english with violet, purple, lila being 3 different colors but basicaly just different shades ;-)
