Oh, that kind of football. Never mind. I'll just take my 0/72 and be done with it.

I had no Idea either. Perhaps it should read "Football (Soccer)Stadiums" on the main page.

I did not spot that the Premiership was not included. After Old Trafford failed I gave up.

@onetheta - There's already a Premier League stadiums quiz. I struggled with this. Just 5. And i'm a big football fan. There's a few I should've got, but the few I know are in the Championship.

Gresty Road is the common name for Crewe's stadium so that should be accepted too.

@I_Hate_Registering: `Football League Stadiums' doesn't just mean `stadiums that are used in some league for some sort of football game': the Football League is the name of England's football/soccer league, in just the same way that the National Football League is the name of the US football/American football league. And it's no more ambiguous.

too many new stadiums around with silly names - i would have thought the den would be acceptable for millwall.

Few technicalities: Leyton Orient is The Matchroom Stadium, just happens to be on and referred to as Brisbane Road. Accrington Stanley is now called The Fraser Eagle Stadium. Bournemouth is Fitness First Stadium, Dean Court is it's old name but still sometimes referred to as that. Bradford is Coral Windows Stadium (can't remeber what the official name was before that) but still known to a number of fans as Valley Parade. Chesterfield is more commonly known as Saltergate. Dagenham & Redbridge is now called London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Stadium (but still known to many fans as Victoria Road). Darlingtons full name is Balfour Webnet Darlington Arena.

@Dave Besag, you are quite correct. Franchise Scum would be more appropriate. 70/72 for me, great quiz.

33/72. Bradford's is the Valley Parade, Lee C. Does anyone know if Aldershot and Chesterfield are ground sharing at the moment? Because their stadium names are exactly the same.

@Vladimir: Aldershot is in Hampshire and Chesterfield is in Derbyshire so if they did ground share then that's a heck of a trip for the home fans. Newcastle and Exeter also have the same name stadium but they don't share.

Quite disappointed with 51, i've been to most of League 1 and 2 stadiums with the Cobblers. 5 years ago i would of got most of them, but many teams are changing their stadium names to keep the sponsors happy.

@LeeC: Sponsorship naming rights make these things complicated. I think I am correct in saying that the stadia still have their pre-sponsorship names, but the clubs have entered into deals to refer to the stadium under its sponsor's name. So the name of Bradford City's stadium is still Valley Parade but it is referred to as the Coral Windows Stadium. (Which is all a bit Lewis Carroll, really.)

This quiz has a two star rating? I bet i can guess which nation's people voted it down. If you can't do it, it doesn't make it's a bad quiz. I don't go round marking down NFL, NBA or Baseball quizzes.

@Josh T.: There are plenty of people in the UK who aren't interested enough in football to want to play a quiz like this. There are plenty of people outside the UK who are not American. Less of the racist whining, please.

I concur that Gresty Road should be allowed for Crewe. Also the New Meadow is the "real" name for Shrewsbury's ground. As a Bradford City season ticket holder I can assure you that it might say the Coral Windows Stadium (or Intersonic before that) on the side of the ground but it is Valley Parade to fans and media alike.

@davidr: Your right about sponsorship naming rights complicating things. Darlingtons ground has only been open since 2003 and has already been called the Reynolds Arena, New stadium, Williamson Motors Stadium, 96.6 TFM Stadium and now Balfour Webnet Stadium. We had 120 years at Feethams and now this.

Concur on New Meadow / Gresty Road, these are by far the better known names. Also I still think of Huddersfield as the 'McAlpine' as that was its original name for years, but might be just me. Great quiz though, got 65/72, annoyed at forgetting Barnet/Aldershot as I've been to both (and well over half the others)

Darlington's ground is correctly the Darlington Arena. Though it may officially be called Balfour Webnet Darlington Arena on the club's website, Balfour Webnet have not sponsored it for at least a year.

@tbh444 - you're not alone I also only know the 'newish' Huddersfield stadium as the 'McAlpine'. Don't think I'll tell the Barnet supporter I work with that I missed Underhill! 54/72 not bad as I've only seen games at the City Ground & Vicarage Road out of these. I've been to athletics meetings at Withdean stadium it's OK for athletics but I suspect it's a dreadful football venue.

Statto, as a Brighton fan I can tell you it's not. Perhaps have Falmer as a bonus as it's now finally being built? As for the other's like I said only technicalities, but maybe both being accepted like West Ham's on the Premiership version?

@Josh T.: From the Oxford English Dictionary: `racism: [...] prejudice and antagonism towards people of other races, esp. those felt to be a threat to one's cultural or racial integrity...; the expression of such prejudice in words or action. Also occas. in extended use, with reference to people of other nationalities.' What term would you like me to use for `prejudice against somebody because of their nationality'?

I requested this, so am very pleased it's up! Sadly I've learned all 92 league grounds through a combination of travelling as a Brighton fan up and down the country, and also an effort to simply learn them! Great quiz, but could maybe do with adding a few allowences.. Gresty Road for Crewe, Saltergate for Chesterfield & New Meadow for Shrewsbury.

Can we have it so we have to put the whole name of the stadium in not just the first part of the stadium? (using Plymouth Argyle as an eg) Home Park instead of just Home.

Agree with Gresty Road & New Meadow. Also Brisbane Road rather than a recent sponsor's name. The Galpharm Stadium has had that name nearly as long as it was the Mcalpine.

54/72 now. Did I imagine a stadium called the McAlpine Stadium? I clearly must have because it won't let me put it there. And since when has Crewe's stadium been the Alexandra Stadium and not Gresty Road? Did they move? @ Tom Osborne: I'd rather things stayed as they were with that regard as it saves time.

I got them all, yay I'm sad... although I have been to most. And, as a Millwall fan, there's no such stadium as "The New Den" it's always just been "The Den" - and it is 16 years old now!
