No, Fargo is indeed a brilliant film, but The English Patient was entirely deserving of its (many) awards. Besides, whether you like it or not Fargo did not win.

What about Korea? I know it's split in 2 but still...it's 5 letters. Even north and south are 5 letters.

@fabbii2444: Van Buren is his full last name, and is 8 letters. Awesome quiz, I tried to put Water as an element... damn.

obviously this was written by young people who are not movie buffs. there are several old movies containing five letters (shane, giant, etc.) that they wouldn't accept as answers to oscar winners. it's so hard to live in a world composed of children who don't think the world existed prior to the 60's.

If Pluto is a bonus... how bout Ceres? And why is it that on every quiz with presidents I always miss Obama? I don't hate the guy I just don't remember him. I almost feel bad.

@eydie. both Shane(1953) and Giant (1956) were nominated for Oscars but neither won. The 1953 winner was 'From here to eternity' and the 1956 winner was 'Around the world in 80 days.'

I really need to memorize the elements better. I always get stumped by them. And apparently I need to get Nickelodeon and watch Brady reruns because everr quiz like this has a category about the Brady Bunch. Is it required viewing in the U.S. or something?

Taiwan should count for asia cuz it's official name is Republic of China they just call it Taiwan so it doesnt get confused with the People's Republic of China (the one widely known as China)
