	Before King of the Hill came out, I was plagued throughout Elementary school with the first name "Arlen" and the middle initial "E", resulting in too many "Arlene" roll calls than I like to remember. Then King of the Hill came along. I didn't watch a single episode for the first 5 years the show existed, so I had no idea to explain how everybody now had some familiarity with my name, but suggested that I was in some way affiliated with Texas. Most confusing days of my childhood.

	I think this was a near-miss. Some of these "fictional locations" make a great deal of sense because the fictional works in question are really about those places, like Shangri-La and Narnia and Brigadoon. But some of them are kind of just happen-to-be-fictional places, like Greenbow or Maycomb County. It wouldn't really have changed the story to have To Kill a Mockingbird set in the real town of Monroeville, or to have Forrest Gump be from Mobile (as he was in the book!), so they're not really "fictional places" in nearly the same way.
