Remembered the Wacky Races guys. Awesome.
Nov 26th, 2008 at 19:25 GMT
Really fun quiz even with 17/30. At least it was more than half!
Nov 26th, 2008 at 19:30 GMT
"Musical" is misspelled in the Chemical Brothers description
Nov 26th, 2008 at 19:38 GMT
Fun quiz - but I think Isley Brothers could also go with the Neville Bros. clue.
Nov 26th, 2008 at 19:40 GMT
Great quiz... I particularly love the Joyce Brothers clue. Amazingly, six of the eight I missed were music-related, which is odd for me. Also, "R&B, Soul and Jazz group" is pretty vague- I was thinking the Iseleys, though they weren't jazz. Regardless, this is a very well-done quiz.

Kicking myself about some of the ones I missed. Wayans. I knew that, but just couldn't think of it. Nice quizz managed to get 19/30. Should have had Snow Bros and the Frog brothers from The Lost Boys.

"Recently bankrupt financial services firm" Well that could refer to many things in a few days... hopefully Geithner does something about it though...
Nov 26th, 2008 at 20:39 GMT
I loved this quiz. Got 22. Missed Neville, Allman, Ringling, Slag, Karamazov, Hanson, Brooks & Lehman. Great quiz though.

@pete: The Isley Brothers aren't considered the First Family of Funk, however. Still, I think they should be included. And what about the Dorsey brothers?
Nov 26th, 2008 at 21:14 GMT
good quiz - managed 21/30 how could I forget the Wacky Races one!
Nov 26th, 2008 at 21:32 GMT
I am kicking myself for missing Band of Brothers.
Nov 26th, 2008 at 22:35 GMT
11/30. I just wasn't there for most of these references. Got the important ones, though, like the Akroyd/Belushi one.
Nov 26th, 2008 at 22:51 GMT
twenty five out of thirty. I forgot the Wacky Racers, too. Funny because I think I can remember the rest of them. Name The Wacky Racers may make a fun quiz.
Nov 26th, 2008 at 22:58 GMT
Yes, Name The Wacky Racers would be an excellent quiz! Still kicking myself over the "Chemical Brothers" one, because from the clue I instantly thought of "Orbital", who are an electronic music duo that actually *are* brothers (Phil & Paul Hartnoll). But of course they don't have "Brothers" in their name, so it didn't work, duh...

Great quiz. Thanks, Sporcle. Can't believe I missed the Allman Brothers. Still, I got 22 out of 30. Q. Who sang Strawberry Letter 23? A. The Brothers ____________. :-)
Nov 27th, 2008 at 03:11 GMT
where are the wachowskis??
Nov 27th, 2008 at 03:19 GMT
Definitely a fun quiz. Got 23, and I missed several music ones because I got hung up on the Isley Brothers, causing me to forget the Allmans, Righteous, and Everlys... Funny you should mention Wacky Racers... I submitted a quiz on them a couple of weeks ago. Maybe this feedback will get it out soon.

good quiz, but..... Santos Dumont invented the airplane.
Nov 27th, 2008 at 12:57 GMT
@Atadolfo: Nice try, but Santos-Dumont created his first airplane design in 1905. Besides, the issue is debatable.

does anyone else remember simon and garfunkel singing "wake up little susie"? i could swear that its on their live in central park album. i know they wouldn't be an answer anyways, but i am pretty curious
Nov 28th, 2008 at 22:07 GMT
Excellent quiz, very challenging (20/30). TheBluesMan: great song. Have you checked out its lyrics yet? I've been singing it very wrong all these years LOL. Could a sisters/mother/father quiz work? Hmmmm

I'm surprised the Wachowski brothers aren't in there.

neville brothers means somethin different in the uk, 2 footballers, one of which is a total dunce and one who is still being payed by man united to have what has seemed like an indefinite holiday. The brits will know exactly what im talking about. oh and their dad is called neville neville, how strange but funny is that? one set of cruel parents.

btw does anyone else think Terence Jay 'one blood' from the film green street is a total and utter rip off of brothers in arms? listen to them both its shocking
Mar 25th, 2009 at 22:35 GMT
"Electronic musical duo", I guessed right with Chemical Brothers and it's probably not a big deal since nobody's mentioned it but what about the Dust Brothers? That was my first guess.

Made me nostalgic for the Flying Burrito Brothers... And, for some reason, seeing Brothers Karamazov made me want to juggle
Mar 7th, 2010 at 20:48 GMT
Even though I totally know they are different people, whenever I'm doing any sort of trivia, I always mix up the Isley Brothers, the Righteous Brothers, and the Everley Brothers. Fortunately, you don't have to guess the right ones on Sporacle or I would have been even more screwed.
Mar 11th, 2010 at 18:40 GMT
Second the nomination for Dust Brothers as an equally good answer to the Chemical Brothers clue.
Apr 29th, 2010 at 12:34 GMT
I actually put in "Dust Brothers" first - so I third that motion.
Jun 2nd, 2010 at 18:00 GMT
also, the Bacon brothers?
