not that this would make it much easier, but how about putting the country?

re: brian It would make it easier indeed, but then you'd have a game à la: "name the countries that once won the ESC" which is pretty much the same to most people as "name some European countries". Which doesn't make sense of course, we already have a "name European countries"-game ;) Also, good game, got 24! =D

Cysion: brian is not asking for a 'guess the country' game but a 'guess the artist' game with both song and country as clues.

re chancelikely: Aye, now I see, misunderstood him then :) Don't see how it'd make the game easier though =p (but then again, I wouldn't mind if the countries would be shown too)

This is way too difficult for anyone outside of Europe. Sporcle Admin, please make more American friendly lists! (And now I will wait as people mistake sarcasm and mark me terrible! I may even beat : ! Mwahahaha!)

Hahaha, Lordi was the only one I knew, and that was from recognizing the song title.

You'll never beat me magister. Also, in this case I wasn't being sarcastic.

Fair enough. But I've found that if you ask people to mark you down, they won't. Interesting...

I knew the British winners, the song by Lordi and I knew Ruslana's song from GTA IV. That was it...

I am not over 70 but I knew all the answers. Oh well if there are sportsgeeks who memorize baseball batting averages or entire soccerteams, I am really not that geeky.

it's good that a lot of the winners sang in their own language--they shd all be required to do this; surprisingly only two Dutch singers when everyone knows they are the best except for the canadians (ok i am a canajun born in netherlands)

Add 2009's winner - Alexander Rybak. I think I would have then got 7 right.

Of course 2004 should have been Xandee - 1 life instead of Ruslana - Wild Dances...
