I bet only northern Brits do well on this quiz. Credit to anyone else that knows these

You should accept Wakefield Wildcats without needing to type Trinity. It's not commonly used. Also you should allow Catalan Dragons rather than Catalans. Good quiz though!

@grimsby_fan: As per most quizzes on here, just enter Wildcats or Dragons, they're like surnames which are almost always accepted on their own.

@oldkent:NRL good idea, and on the subject of Aussie sport, what about naming the teams in the AFL?

I'm an American who doesn't mind quizzes for sport that we will have no clue about (I thought the argument over the football quiz was so stupid), but I think it would be nice if there were something to let us know exactly what sport the quiz is about. Is there a reason that is a bad suggestion?

@ Herouk87: I'm from London and i got them all! But I see your point though, it's a struggle getting London folk to enjoy 'the greatest game' Love my RL, but I think this quiz could be better if you had to name all the teams who have played Super League since it inception. PSG anyone?

PS: sorry to disagree Grimmo but I reckon Wakefield are more often referred to as "Trinity" rather than as the "Wildcats" (well, apart from Eddie and Stevo) ;-)

If we just accept the nicknames, shouln't we also just accept the commonname, like Bradford (Northern), Leeds, Wigan, etc?

You know I do wonder about some people on this site. Whereas I hardly expect to be marked up for any particular comment I make, it's rather bewildering to be sitting on -1 for telling someone they don't need to enter full names to get given credit for an answer, which is a) a helpful hint b) a statement of fact.

I couldn't remember some of the nicknames got 11 though which isn't bad considering i haven't really watched Rugby League for ages. I still remember them as Wigan, Warrington, Bradford etc

Lots of Super League Teams have the same name as the NRL.

@oldkent. Not really - only the Warriors, Dragons and Tigers names are also used in the NRL

Got 11/13 - considering I do follow the league I'm disappointed I missed Castleford and Wakefield, but then I am a Londoner. I agree that if nicknames only are accepted, so should the place names alone.

Good to see another rugby quiz ... As a follower of the other code, I'm reasonably happy with my 9 ... but I'm still kicking myself over the ones I missed :o) Another vote for allowing place names to count on their own - I would have got 13 if I hadn't needed to put the nicknames too ...
