| There are more problems with windmills than bird deaths (I think bat deaths are actually even more abundant). Wind is extremely unpredictable. There are some areas that do have pretty consistent wind, but these areas are generally places people have oppositions to them being (ie. Coasts, like the Chesapeake Bay or California Coast). Or there are areas in the open plains that have consistent wind, but are far from the most populated areas. And as we all know energy is extremely difficult and expensive to transport. You actually lose energy when you transport it.
Then there are all the minor problems like aesthetics, noise pollution, land use, etc. |
