The title is a bit misleading. The quiz wants nations where the Queen is head of State Not all Commonwealth nations (50+) are subjects of the crown.

@infmay: No, the title is correct -- the Commonwealth Realms are those countries in the Commonwealth of Nations which have the Queen as the head of state.

@Julian: No, Bermuda isn't a country in its own right but a British Overseas Territory. It has the same status as Gibraltar, the Falkland Islands and several other such places. The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are also not included: again, the Queen is head of state but these islands are Crown Dependencies rather than fully independent countries.

In both the Countries and Flags of North America quizzes, "Saint Vincent" is a sufficient answer, but this one required "...and the Grenadines." That really through me off.

Why does Fiji come up as an aditional answer? I know it was formerly in the Commonwealth Realms, before it became a republic, but so were many other countries that don't come up.

I'm guessing that Fiji is an additional answer because the Queen was removed as head of state by a military coup; I think all the others became republics by democratic means. (Corrections welcomed.)

Liking the bonus answer of Fiji, and I agree with Lindsay that it should be consistent with many of the other quizzes and accept St Vincent without the "and the grenadines".

Fiji is bonus answer because while she is no longer queen, she is "Paramount Chief of Fiji". I only used wikipedia to look up the name of her title, I did already know she had some title other than queen there :)

for the question about Bermuda right at the top (from colincorgi in Sept 2008), there's another quiz for the countries that are still British dependencies although not part of the UK.

So a quiz based on UK commonwealths is Americentric? I'm afraid I don't follow your logic, sir/ma'am.

@lpw88: the term 'state' is the technical term for what we generally call countries/nations.
