| American History X is a really poorly made movie. Seriously not good (and I'm aware it's an IMDb top movie or something, but- read the critics, see what they thought, check the awards, see what they thought), and liking it or saying it's good says a lot not only about a person's taste but about the person himself. Norton's performance in it is wonderful, and there's nothing wrong with praising that, but to praise the film as a whole just raises a lot of questions about someone, none of them good.
As for Norton's career, where it went, etc, he apparently is a pain in the ass. Which is a shame cause he's a great actor. |
