17 out of 17 baby...granted I did a report on him in Highscool, so I knew all the old ones. Great actor probably the bestof our time...Personally opinion. There will Be Blood sucked as a movie. Gangs of New York was one of his best rolls Bill the Butcher and Danny Flynn in the Boxer

His most recent film is one of the best films of the past decade, and his performance is astonishing. In fact, even in lesser films (like the 2002 and 2005 films,) his performance always stands out. He is one of the best actors working today.

Great actor! I got 15 -- helps that he's so selective and has made so few movies.

Can you change your summary of 'lets hope he doesn't play a serial killer anytime soon' to 'lets hope he doesn't play a serial killer unless the film also stars Tom Cruise?'

Well, I can safely say that I got all the movies that I actually knew he was in. Yey, for the 'Ghandi' one.

he got snubbed for Gangs of New York, but I'm not too upset considering he still got a nomination and is a 2 time Best Actor winner (so far).

"gangs of new york is not a lesser anything" Scorsese is one of my favorite directors, but I consider "Gangs of New York" to be one of his few disappointing films. It's not a bad film by any means, it's just not particularly good either. Of course, that's just my opinion and I know a lot of people will disagree.

Please tell me I'm not the only person who hated "There Will Be Blood." DDL wasn't bad, but he should own up to wasting his talents on such a pointless flick.

Another popular sporcle quiz (and one of my favorites), is the AFI top 100 movies list. In 20 or so years, when they make another one of those lists, There Will Be Blood will be in the top 15. PT Anderson and DDL are the best around these days, and Blood was a masterpiece.

You have to add "Nine" (which is going to be awesome)!

Sondheim, I completely agree. The film's only saving grace was Lewis' performance. And I'm a huge Scorsese fan.

Considering how he pretty much fell off the map it's easy to forget how he was such a big star in the early 90s. If I recall, My Left Foot - In The Name Of The Father were all huge.

First actor ever to get 3 Oscars in a main role. One of the greatest ever, and maybe even the GOAT by the time he's done.
