If we follow recent business trends, this entire quiz could have different answers in a year.

@Balla, that's the only place I can find that Mastercard advert. The Mastercard website still retains the old branding, and that blog is from 2006.

It's the logo for MasterCard "Worldwide", which I suppose fits with this quiz's slightly more international theme. But I wouldn't complain if it were changed to the more recognized version.

Hard one. I only got 15, but the only one I was upset for missing was Ericsson.

I got 25. Kicking myself for missing Rolex. I couldn't remember the "M" of MB Games, and both Unilever's and Xerox's new logos have passed me by. Who or what is "Quiznos"?

@Antithesys: Mastercard Worldwide is the name of the company that owns and runs the Mastercard brand. One of the big points of the brand is that you can use it anywhere, so the cards use the same logo throughout the world (the one everybody's familiar with). That logo isn't suitable for use in this quiz because it has the word `Mastercard' written through it.

@Mr Englishman: Go type it into Google or Wikipedia.

Good quiz, but BA should be accepted for British Airways. How about a defunct companies logo quiz soon?

24/36, though I guessed "Target" from the logo - though it's not a company I've heard of before. So without the lucky guess, 23.

BTW, that is the old Reuters logo as well; although more people would probably recognise it than their new one: http://www.reuters.com/

I've seen the Chanel logo since I don't know when, but never knew the name of the company 'til now. Then again I'm not quite the target audience I suspect.

For completeness BP should also take beyond petroleum as they rebranded a few years ago. I guess in anticipation of a lack of crude oil. http://www.bp.com/sectiongenericarticle.do?categoryId=9010219&contentId=7019491

@davidr - It wasn't possible to get "Mastercard" removed from the traditional logo? Also, good to see that the Cubs' new centerfielder has his own logo. :D

@Monoclinic. 'Beyond Petroleum' is a marketing slogan and in no way should be included in this quiz as an acceptable answer! "British Petroleum merged with Amoco (formerly Standard Oil of Indiana) in December 1998,[19] becoming BPAmoco until 2000 when it was renamed BP and adopted the tagline "Beyond Petroleum," which remains in use today. It states that BP was never meant to be an abbreviation of its tagline." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BP

I don't know if it matters, since the quiz doesn't say 'current logos', but technically, there is no Reuters company anymore. Reuters merged with the Thomson Corporation to form Thomson Reuters, which has an entirely different logo than the one above. Just an FYI.

I don't understand why it didn't take British Airways when I typed it in? It was spelled exactly how I have it in this comment. There must have been some delay? Anyway, I got 18 and somehow didn't get the British Airways, Delta, or Bank of America.
