Damn you, Bentonville! I knew Walmart's HQ was in a small Arkansas town - couldn't remember the name.

I'm sure that a lot of work goes into making these quizzes, but this one just didn't seem up to snuff. Two problems that I see: 1) You can just guess large cities and get 6 of them. 2) It seems weird that for companies HQed in a suburb that knowing the main city isn't sufficient. For instance, Oak Brook is a Chicago suburb, Beaverton is about 7 miles from Portland; and Burbank is in the LA metro area. My suggestion is to have order matter and to take the state instead of the city. That would both make it harder since randomly guessing doesn't help and a little more reasonable (double darn you Bentonville).

Unless you know a lot about one of these companies or live in the area, it's almost impossible to get some of these ones. I managed to get Burbank, but mostly because I lived in So. Cal and figured that it had to be Hollywood or somewhere nearby.

Bentonville is the first one I got of my 13/18 - because I wrote my Bachelor's thesis on it. ;-)

@Math Chick: How the hell would asking for the state make random guessing not a help? There's only 50 of them as opposed to a ****load of cities. And I'm prettey sure that more than 7 of these cannot be randomly guessed at all.

I think this one is actually a good balance between guessable big cities and ones you just have to know.

@pdu I said that order matters. So you can't just guess Arkansas, you have to guess Arkansas for Walmart. Once again people DON"T READ a damn thing and just shoot their mouth off.

@Math Chick: you're right, making order matter would make it harder, but from what I've seen, most Sporcle quizzes (aside from those about poems or song lyrics) do not care about order, and I dare say most users appreciate that.

Yeah I tried Anaheim and Orlando too...when Anaheim didn't work I guessed Los Angeles. The preceeded to guess every California city I could think of and got San Fran and San Jose because of Disney...I'll take it.
