	I know all the Ten Commandments, but seeing that this quiz is not accepting alternatives really baffles me. Also, where the heck did "You shall not make for yourself an idol" come from? Three through nine should be two through eight, and the ninth commandment is "you shall not want what your neighbor has".

	Trying various combinations for #2 (idol) passed out through lack of breath. And seeing as 'kill' gets you 'shall not murder' can't help thinking the gist is all that's required. (and covet thy neighbour's ass? the wife being covered in #7)

	It should be noted, there are multiple numberings of the commandments, depending on whether you're Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish. Some people treat "I am the Lord your God" as a commandment, treating no gods before me and false idols as one commandment. Others differ on whether the commandment about coveting is one or two commandments. Catholics treat it as two, merging "I am the Lord your God" and what are listed as 1 and 2 here into one commandment to make space for it.

	I think it would be helpful if, in the information at the top, it said "according to the ____ version of the Bible." Then it would be clear which ordering and phrasing is correct.

	You might want to change the format to a "fill-the-blank" one like some others (like the Bible verses/national anthems), because as is, it's too hard to "guess" the wording. I couldn't get the second or third just because I couldn't figure out how the phrasing was worded.

	Despite the different versions, this quiz is set up to be very easy. It's good that very vague answers like "covet", "adultery", "no idols", and "no other gods" are accepted.

	Could 'Thou shalt not kill' and 'Thou shalt not steal' be accepted answers. They're what I was taught.

	Except that when I typed in "no other gods" it auto-filled in "no idols," and didn't accept any other wording of "no other gods." This is a toughie. I've never gotten more than four correct answers, despite the fact I learned the "King James" wordings for all of these as a child.

	it took me a good 20 tries to get the 1st commandment. I'm still not sure on my exact wording that finally registered. Also, I could not get #2 at all. I must have typed some 30 variations of 'no graven images' and 'false idols'.

	Had a hard time with this because as a Roman Catholic I was taught that the first commandment includes the line "no other gods before me", which means no idols. That made it impossible to figure out the no idols commandment. And we separate your number 10 into TWO commandments - you shall not covet your neighbor's wife AND you shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

	It's just too hard to include all the different wordings. I tried tons of different versions of yu shall not take the lord's name in vain, and couln't get any of them to work. Same story with false idols. And yet just the word covet will work. Odd. I thought there were two different covets - neighbor's goods and neighbor's wife.

	in my church i was taught them in a different way were the 9th and 10th were both about coveting. I think that they are different for each denomination.

	"graven image" gave me nothing but that's how I learnt the commandment, also 'covert thy neighbour's property' cos lets face it, it the biblical times, your wife was your property too, so the accepted answers should be inclusive

	You should really take this down - it's wrong. I know the 10 commandments off by heart so figured it was going to be a time challenge. I gave up after only a few minutes when it frustratingly wouldn't accept my answers. And you should really say if a quiz only accepts American spelling. The only 2 I got right was after I tried honour without a u.

	I tried: "take no other god" "have no other god" "take a false idol" "make a false idol" "honour your father" While I accept they're not all that close, it's totally frustrating.

	I was stunned that it wouldn't take "not take the lord's name in vain" for the second commandment! I can't believe that the only acceptable answer is "not take the name of the Lord in vain"

	Vestral is correct ... MY bible (and lets face it - they're not all the same) says: thou shalt not covet they neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's

	agreed, this is easily the most aggravating quiz on here. You feel like you exhaust all permutations of "bear false witness" and "Lord's name in vain."

	The wording is too difficult on all of them, especially #2. I suggest changing the format of the quiz to a fill-in-the-blank style.

	One of the reasons it's so tricky to pin down the 10 Commandments is because they are listed in the Hebrew Bible in three places - each one slightly different. Different denominations have accepted different versions as the canonical list. Add in different translations of the Bible (RSV, KJV, etc.) and it really gets tricky. 	Different religious traditions number the ten commandments differently. That's one problem. Then, too, it depends on what translation of the Bible you're quoting from. Also, if you're a liberal Episcopalian such as I, you might prefer to follow the Ten Suggestions. Finally, "Thou shalt not write allegedly religious quizzes that are filled with ambiguity."

	gah. rejecting number five for putting honoUr instead of honor is a bit much. and where is "covet thy neighbo(U)r's ass"? BTW, ther are no such thing in the bible as the 10 commandments. There are loads of them - and different groups use different ones, possibly why only certain sections of sporclers will complete this.

	I tried every possible combination for the fourth commandment, and it wouldn't accept it. Keep holy the sabbath should be allowed (in my opinion)

	It should be clarified that the list used for this quiz is based on the Protestant numbering as opposed to that used by Catholics.

	I can't understand why this accepts the shortning of some commandments such as NOT COVET, NOT STEAL, NOT LIE, NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, then requires YOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD IN VAIN to be word for word. It wouldn't accept YOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE LORD'S NAME IN VAIN.

	I'm Catholic, so 1 and 2 here are one commandment and "shall not covet thy neighbour's goods" is missing. I couldn't get the wording for "not take the Lord's name in vain" or "remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy). This quiz needs to communicate parameters more clearly or accept way more variations in the answers.
