No Cary Grant? He was named the Second Greatest Male Film Star of All Time by the American Film Institute (behind only Humphrey Bogart).

I'm thoroughly disappointed that there's no Cary Grant. To me, he personifies classic acting.

I got all the women but missed three of the men. I wish we still had great female stars like this today. There are so few great actresses left.

This quiz would be one of my favorites had Cary Grant and Grace Kelly been included.

Phenomenal quiz. I have heard all of these names but didn't know many of the faces. We had some good-looking actors and actresses back in the day.

Happy to see Marlon Brando but sad there's no Cary Grant.

That being said, Ronald Reagan = WTF. I mean, really? Instead of Cary Grant, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Katharine Hepburn, Anne Bancroft, James Dean, Grace Kelly, Laurence Olivier, Burt Lancaster...???

No, but we can still be thankful for every Daniel Day-Lewis, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sean Penn we have.

Did anyone else recite the lyrics to Madonna's "Vogue" in their head to make sure they got them all? It's how I finally got the last one!

Okay, I'll break the ice: Nobody in the history of the world has aged more poorly than Marlon Brando. Seriously, that's the same guy who kissed and sang with Larry King?

something interesting i thought, the actresses on here share something in common (if you count common law marriages for two of them). they all have had at least 3 marriages

It's Katharine, not Katherine. If you're going to spell the name of a legend get it right!

Great quiz. Might be more fun if we had to match the name to the face. I didn't recognize Gary Cooper without a cowboy hat. I knew Harrison was British but kept guessing Niven, Plummer, Howard, etc.

Side note: If you played the Four Word Movie Review quiz last week, I've added a kind of poll at the bottom of the comments to determine the desire (and theme) of a sequel. We apologize for the interruption. Now back to our regularly scheduled Sporcle.

Agree with MovieDynamic - Ronald Reagan, a classic actor? He is so out of his depth on this list it's ridiculous. Obviously a lot of more deserving names have already been mentioned so I won't go into that. Definitely should be a sequel though.

A list without Cary Grant is - well, an incomplete list. I instinctively typed his name first without even looking at the images.

Missed Lana Turner, only because she's completely unrecognizable in that picture. I was tempted to type "Angela Landsbury" but I knew that would be wrong.
