The name of the city is Washington. The "D.C." stands for District of Columbia, the city's location.

why is the colin farrell/colm meanie movie a bonus? surely if it's worth putting as a bonus it's worth putting in the quiz? then at least people will get a point for it.

why no "new york new york"? lol. also the fact that you have to have "an" at the start of the griffin dunne film seems slightly anal, though i could just be bitter cos i only got 3/24, lol

@Jason: Other movies with Kentucky cities in their titles include the Buster Keaton short `Palooka from Paducah' (1935) and two movies called `Ashland' (2007 and 2009). Oh, and `Independence Day' (1996). ;-)

Blanked on the 2007 Russell Crowe movie and kept thinking it was "Mystery, Alaska." Except that wasn't in 2007 and calling "Mystery" a city is a bit of a stretch.

If Hollywood counts, so should boroughs of New York (Maid in Manhattan, Manhattan, A Bronx Tale, etc.). Also, Fargo, New York Stories...

When I saw Colin Farrell on the list and before I noticed the year, I thought it was going to be In Bruges (which I loved). Good to see that it was one of the bonus answers!
